Books you wish were movies.

I think it might be time to do some modern day Edgar Allen Poe films. I know some of the movie buffs will flame me for mentioning the idea of remakes but I think if they were done right some Poe flicks could kick ass.


Also maybe a Moby **** movie with todays technology would be pretty cool. Stay true to the novel though as it is awesome.

Finally, not to get too political but Faith Of My Fathers by John McCain(along with the many other books about this great Americans life) would make an excellent Bio-Pic. No matter your political beliefs I don't think you can deny that his life has been absolutely amazing.

i heard they were thinking of making a movie but its going to be one tough job... the seven book series is fantastic and a movie would either kill it or make it even more amazing...

they now have comics out on the series but i havent read them yet

OMG, just the thought of A Song of Ice and Fire being made into a mini series is almost too much to handle.

I dont watch or get HBO but I would definatley find a way, maybe when it comes out as a series on DVD like Band of Brothers, thatd be sweet.

I imagine I will still like the books better, but sometimes the interpretation for film can be pleasantly surprising, as it was for LOTR.

Speaking of LOTR, when is The Hobbit suppoesd to come out as a movie, I know they were talking about it.

A while ago I read " The Survivor " by Jack Eisner, on his real name Jacek Eisner. It's about his life as an young boy in Warszaw , Poland during World War II when he was in the Jewish Ghetto and later through the Nazi death camps...at Aushwitz and Dachau. A great book, and an amazing story about surviving through the worst days of mankind. Really impressive!

How about a movie thats actually based off of I Am Legend.

I loved the movie with Will Smith, but they seriously couldve just named it something else and people probably wouldnt have known it was even based off I Am Legend.

I haven't read the books on Sharpe but I hear they're very good.

Okay... I'm pretty damn excited about that! I just hope HBO doesn't screw it up. I think as long as Martin has some say in it, it will be alright, tho.
