The two that sprang to my mind where:

Combat Crew: A True Story of Flying and Fighting in World War II by John Comber
Decision of Schweinfurt by Thomas M.Coffey

Both are about B-17 Crews in Word War II. The first is the "Dairy" of John Comber missions. The second focus on the bombing run on August 17th, 1943to Schweinfurt, a mission in which my Grandpa took part in. This was a BRUTAL raid deep into the heart of Nazi Germany.

If they ever are made I hope the don't do a "Hollywood" version of what it was like for the crews of the 8th Air Force. It mad my Grandpa so mad when they would miss simple things like not using the "throat mics". For example "Memphis Belle" has a steaming pile of crap.
Ask me about My Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.

          HODOR!!!!
          YES!!!

I actually saw that they picked out the cast, and it looked pretty solid as far as I can tell.

I was a fan of Sean Bean in LOTR and he will play Eddard Stark. That chick from 300 will play Cersei Lannister, she'll have to dye her hair blonde obviously. Most of the rest I haven't heard of but they looked pretty similar to the characters they will be playing.

I dont know if they have Tywin Lannister even as a character yet, but I remember watching Underworld and the guy who played Viktor, and thinking if they ever made a Song of Ice and Fire movie or TV series that he would really fit as Tywin.

          A book I wrote

i heard they were thinking of making a movie but its going to be one tough job... the seven book series is fantastic and a movie would either kill it or make it even more amazing...

they now have comics out on the series but i havent read them yet
I hear you on this one. I'd love to see DT be made into a movie.

The Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton

any remaining Crichton novel that hasn't yet. Prey would be awesome and I'd enjoy State of Fear because it would upset all the global warming people.

              *thinks*

              Conn Iguldon's Emperor series.

that's all i can think of for now..

My favorite book of all time is already the best mini-series of all time. McMurtry's Lonesome Dove.

But I got a couple new, and a few remakes.

                  1) Can we please get a decent Dune movie? C'mon people this is getting ridiculous. The Sci Fi miniseries sucked too

2)The Hobbit. 2011 can't come sooner. I'll never forget the car ride home where my father told me about this creature Gollum that eats little people with big feet called hobbits. I was 8 years old; I was scared outta my brains.

3)Y'all might flame me, but I want to see Mein Kampf as a movie. Just imagine a 3 1/2 hour biography of the most evil man ever. Scary **** right there.

                  4) The Ramayana. Crazy wizard Hindu warriors battle over the most beautiful women in the history of the world. Much cooler than any Greek stories we ever learned.

                  5) Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang. Sponsored by the Sierra Club. I vote Kevin Spacey for the role of the doctor.
