Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I'm not sure if you'd call them mainstream nowadays.

Until the day when death metal becomes mainstream, I think I'm in the clear.
But there is such a thing as "mainstream metal." In that case, I'd say Lamb Of God has completely lost touch with their roots. I would say the same for Slipknot, but even with the changes they've made, they still know how to shred it.

Same
However, you lose 10 e-metal points for liking slipknot and calling yourself a death metal fan.
They're like a viking/folk Scandinavian band I liked until they sort of went mainstream.

I liked them before they got big, and I was blown away. Then they got big, and I was kind of surprised. I couldn't believe that their style (which is damn weird, even their biggest fans have to admit) was accepted by a larger audience.
Then they did BYOB, which achieved incomprehensible popularity. Seriously, I don't get it. That song sucks.
Then Serg went solo.
I haven't bought anything since Toxicity.
*shrug*
At least I'll always have In Flames to myself, even though their most recent album went in a direction I didn't care for as much as their older stuff.
HEAR ME ROAR!
sigpic Thanks to Freyaka for the great sig!
Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it sucks.
Except for emo. I think we can all pretty much agree that emo sucks.
Chill out my man, I realize Slipknot doesn't actually "suck", as in there playing ability. My personal opinion is that the music they make it terrible.
