I just got the new Skillet CD - Awake - at midnight at Wal-Mart. Pretty solid CD, I'd give it an 8/10. My favorite song is Awake and Alive


EDIT: I should add that this isn't just for CDs you "bought", I know you people illegally download some too

It's been a while since I've bought a CD. Haven't had any decent new music for a few weeks. So I'll just go with the last one I remember buying.

Darkest Hour - The Eternal Return: American metal is falling behind European metal, but DH somehow keeps thing real in the states. This takes the boys back to Undoing Ruin days with just solid riffs and moments of melody that seem to come out of nowhere. The best songs are The Tides and Trandscendence.

Devo - Are We Not Men?

It's been years since I last listened to Devo's debut album (on vinyl!). I was at Borders, saw it for $8.99, had a 40% off coupon so I got it for about 5 bucks! Hard to beat that! It's practically all I've listened to in my car for the last couple of weeks.

The Used: Artwork - 8/10

They didn't go the pop rock route as much this time like in Lies for the Liar but they really infused their old style with it also. Some of the songs are pretty good but you can tell there are fillers.
