don't know how to program phone numbers into my phone, I have a square piece of paper with people's phone numbers in my wallet.

couldn't figure out to connect my computer up had to pay someone

I took a "oral" history course but was kicked out of it because I did not know what "power point" was. Prof told me to take a beginners class on that before I took his class.

Life is cruel for those who live in the past.

I still use a pocket watch.

Wow, that must have been a bad lay. Sorry....

I've always felt that the two most important things with computers is having the confidence to try things and having someone who will actually show you what's going on so it's understandable. In the end, they're really dumb devices (they only understand 2 things, high voltage and low voltage, interpreted as 1 adn 0). Congrats on getting the iPod to work. Maybe that will lead to more stuff. You can PM me with your Java questions, when you start developing software.
