  • Top 10 Greatest Football Movies Ever Made

Dell's recent list was the Top 10 Greatest Football movies ever. Wanted to get everybody's thoughts on the list, do you agree with it? What movies should be higher? What movies should have been included in the Top 10?

Personally, I think Varsity Blues should be a little higher. Easily my favorite football movie, high school Quarterback who faces the adversity of "high school politics" in Texas football. Plus the blonde chick's whipped cream bikini

I'll say 'no particular order', since I really don't want to think too hard about the placement of these movies:

      1) The Replacements
      2) Necessary Roughness
      3) Any Given Sunday
      4) The Program
      5) Remember the Titans
      6) North Dallas Forty
      7) The Longest Yard (original)
      8) Rudy
      9) Brian's Song (original)
      10) We Are Marshall

        What about "the Blind Side"?

probably not top 5, but it's pretty good!

I just hated how fake "The Replacements" was....but i loved the storyline...

nahh the part I loved about that movie is it EXPOSED what 90% of these coaches in HS football are nowdays....I'm shocked that nobody has put them in check...I've played for a coach just like that and suffered 2 years with a terrible groin that had been torn cuz of it...

It's because it's better than Remember the Titans.

Hah, as much as I love football, I HATE football movies (except neccessary roughness, but just because of Kathy Ireland ).

I love football for the drama, and how you can never predict what will happen - there's always something to surprise you, challenge what you thought you "know", it's so unpredictable.

Football movies, well you usually know what's going to happen before the opening credits are done. Underdog team will beat the better team though perserverance and heart. Seen one, seen them all.

                            Friday Night Lights is #1

I love how it breaks away from the typical sports movie formula. Instead of being a movie about triumph and success it focuses on heartbreak, failure, hopelessness, and fanaticism.
