Where are the Final Fantasy fans!?!?

I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan for those that don't know which you wouldn't cause I hardly post in the video game section but was seriously shocked no one had a thread on the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII game. I personally think it's going to be the best one yet but we will see.

I have been waiting for 3 years for this to come out and now that it's only a week away well let's just say I anxious to play it. The Battle system looks interesting and they say its the best feature of the game.

Anyways we have to talk up some Final Fantasy let me know who are fans of the series and which Final Fantasy was your favorite. If I have to choose one I'd say it's FF X followed by 9 which is a close second. Of course FF VII broke me into the series so I back tracked and played all the classics before it.

So who else is looking forward to the new Final Fantasy?

Tactics was a cool Final Fantasy I have to get that one back mine broke a short time ago although I have the same game on the psp but I have to have the original back on the playstation...mainly cause I can't sit there and look at that screen for a long time. Rather play it on tv.

Final Fantasy VII was the greatest.....I dont really like how they changed the fighting scheme...But I will still play the new one!

I just hated the PSP version's faulty programming that made it slow down during spell casting and the fact that some special equipment can't be stolen from enemies anymore (like the Genji equipment and the Masamune). It doesn't ruin the game for most people, but I played the psx version enough to be bothered by it.

Did you beat Ruby Weapon? I only beat him one time. Honestly I don't know how I did that over a few years ago now I can play the game and can't touch the guy for nothing. He tears me up.

True I hardly get classic games that's remade on the handheld systems they always change things about the game or try to add to much or take something away its just a big mess sometimes.

I am a huge FFX fan and ff9 was good too. FFX was just too good. I mean, nothing in my books can beat it out. With the blitzball, the cool battle with sin.. auron.... titus.... rikku..... the rondo thing, what was his name?... dude with broken horn.

Kimarhi was his name might have spelled it wrong. You are right the blitzball was fun it was a whole different game inside of FFX. I thought when FFX came out it made a smooth transition from the ps to the ps2. I'm expecting the same for FFXIII.

As for FFX it was my fav it had a great story cool battle system and the visuals was stunning not to mention the music was awesome Nobuo Umematsu is the man. Honestly the music hasn't been the same since he left. I always said I wish they would have did a spin off and had the pilgrimage with Auron Jecht and Braska. I liked Jecht thought he was cool from the little time they showed him.

i played FF7 FF8 FF9 FFX and stopped after X cause 11 and 12 didnt look worth buying IMO X was the best one

Surprisingly enough, i LOVED FF12... just loved the real time battles, the storyline, the hunts, the amazing summon animations....i could go on lol.. great game imo

Also absolutely loved FF7, playing 8 atm but i cant seem to get around to it a lot lol... X was good, but i never played it enough to really get into it tbh...

I mean that much playing time and I still had things to do. Ah the memories. FFXIV may be worse it comes out sometime this year and yes I have to get back into the MMO world again.

Final Fantasy XII I was criticle of or weary because I just didn't think it would be good but once I started playing it I actually enjoyed the game. The side quest were fun and hunting the marks I didn't do all of the Marks but I was up there. Finding and fighting all the summons was fun as well. The story was ok and I thought the boss fights were jokes so it had its good and bad moments. I didn't too much care for the Characters either although I liked Basch.

the reason why i loved FFx was because to me the story was engaging it was simple enough to understand yet it was complicated when you really look at it. the characters you can just relate to and Auron is just one bad mofo
