ya'll are gonna laugh at me till no end but i think the movie i was ever the most terrified of was mars attacks lmao

kind of scared being only like 10 years old but what really got to me was io was listening to a cd later that night in my room in the dark and it started to skip and sounded just like when they were taking over the radios in the movie

      i was terrified lol

other than that texas chainsaw got me pretty good when i was young, i still hate watching scary movies and act scared during but after im never satisfied, idk what it is, maybe the tough guy in me or w/e but im ALWAYS disappointed in horror flicks

The scariest movie of all time, and will likely remain #1 forever, is the Exorcist. I still have flashbacks. When that movie came out, people were shaken by it. And when I got around to seeing it on tv for the first (and last) time, I wish I hadn't. It took me a long time to sleep smoothly......as I was batching it at the time.

It was not only extremely bothersome to watch, but I understand it was based on a true story......even though it was transformed a bit in the making........I believe it was a boy in real life, but they felt they could make it more strange with a girl.

            Thanks for bumping my thread

I want to add the Amityville Horror series. Those movies really got to me when I was little. The new one was decent but not nearly as effective as the older ones...
The one when the guy's daughter dies in a boating accident then he walks back into his house and his daughter is there acting like nothing happened... that really spooked me.

I'm also very surprised that someone mentioned Rosemary's Baby! That is a classic that I have not seen in ages. I think I might have to watch that one again soon.

Alien. I cant wait for it to come out on Blu Ray so I can watch it on the big screen in the dark.

The interesting thing about Poltergeist is that not a single person dies in the film.

Though not the scariest movie I ever saw, this is one of my favorite films.

Jaws scared the holy hell outta me when i was a little tike...

But, I would have to say Darkness Falls probably scared me the most out of
                      any movie.

That Emily Rose movie was very creepy too though.
