Trade for Jamal???

I am trying to trade for Williams on Madden & it is almost impossible to sneak him away from the Chargers, any suggestions?

I tried to sign the best available free agents and then trade them but they still won't except any offer unless it involves my #1 and 2 picks I wish madden would allow 3 way trades on the game, that would be sweet!!!

If you don't go into the franchise you can go from the menu and cut him from the Chargers roster and then pick him up as the broncos when you start a new franchise.

what brooks said is right, before you start your franchise, go to roster management, go to the chargers, release jamal, then sign him onto the Broncos roster, and start your franchise! or you can start your franchise and pick him up in free agency before you play any games in your first season. Make sure you pick him up before you play a game, I tested it 6 times and all 6 times within one game played Jamal was picked up.

If you already started your franchise you can do it the cheating way. Go to the Chargers team in team management, edit player, and change him to a different position that will change his rating to super low. For instance, make the NT a WR. He'll be rated a 12 and you can trade for him for a lot more reasonable a price. Once he's on your team, edit him back to a NT. The only stipulation is you'll need to make sure the team you are trading with has the min amount of people in that position before you can edit him from his original position. So you may need to sign a free agent nt and then trade him to them for a 7th round pick first.

Thanks, I used to edit rosters all the time in other maddens, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I am going to try the cheating way though I am already in the middle of free agency and don't really feel like starting all over

Technically you can have 3 way trades.

Just trade the players you got in FA to some team that needs them, for their draft picks and ship those draft picks on for Jamal/whoever.

By the way I changed Jamal to a quarterback and I still had to trade a 4th round pick for him even though he was only a 12 over all.

Probably because the Chargers had only 2 DT's at the time you wanted to do it. They need at least 3 or 4 to be able to change the positions.
