Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

It's really damn good, and I normally read pretty heavy books.
For class I'm reading Great Expectations, 1984, and some Chaucer...
Not quite as much fun.
It's written by a friend of mine. I've got the unabridged self-published version... I'm not far in. It has been bought up by a small publisher since then... just released or about to.
If you like fantasy, please consider this book. He's very talented.
Thanks, Reid! sigpic

Cool. I'll have to check that out, too.
No Internet for you at work?
Maybe if you're nice to the boss?

I've read all of his Sharpe and Saxon Tales novels.
I'm assuming Agincourt is set during the Hundred Years' War?
Yeah its set for the time leading up to an through the Battle of Agincourt which I believe happened in 1415. I also have read the Saxon Tales, but I never got around to reading the Sharpe series.
Peanut, this particular book isnt quite a King Arthur type, but its funny that you mention this because Cornwell has another series that is a different version of the Arthur story, set in ancient Britain around the year 500. If you like these types of books I would definitely recomend them, they're my favorite books by Cornwell.

... is set mostly in Spain during Arthur Wellesley's (Duke of Wellington) Peninsular Campaign against Napoleon's forces.
It is quite historically accurate at least as far as Sir Charles Oman's seven volume History of the Peninsular War is concerned (which I'm sure Bernard Cornwell has read).
British film companies did a TV series adaptation of the books (Sean Bean as Sharpe) which were quite good.

Bumping this thread because I'm an obsessive reader and I just finished a book...and yes I included the pictures with a kindle because I have one now!
Just finished this one:
From amazon.com:
The girl with the dragon tattoo is back. Stieg Larsson's seething heroine, Lisbeth Salander, once again finds herself paired with journalist Mikael Blomkvist on the trail of a sinister criminal enterprise. Only this time, Lisbeth must return to the darkness of her own past (more specifically, an event coldly known as "All the Evil") if she is to stay one step ahead--and alive.
And I'm now reading this one:
From amazon.com: In a small East Texas town, three families of enormous wealth and power come to reside. The Tolivers are cotton tycoons, the Warwicks are lumber barons, and the DuMonts are retail magnates. The mutual respect formed between these elite families set up a social structure that will have long lasting repercussions through the generations for all their progeny.
I think that second one probably won't appeal to men.
I just started this. I love the pic on the back is the back of the cover and in his hand(which you can see is behind his back) is a head.
I recently finished the Diary Of Abraham Van Helsing at the reccomendation of one of our members here. Don't recall who....
I do believe that was me (at least I remember talking about it on here so it could have been someone else I guess. i shall take credit though ). How did you like it?
Currently I am reading:
Been wanting to read it since I saw the movie. Ive got a book review coming up in my public speaking class so I thought itd be perfect opportunity.
LET 'ER BUCK!!!
