  • Mass Effect II - Because Titles Should Indicate the Content.

Just got my last achievement on Mass Effect 2 by completing it on Insanity.

Who else has done it? My god, that has got to be the most frustrating achievement I've ever encountered. The final boss fight, I didn't die once. But I can't tell you how many times I died during the boss fight of Project Overlord.

Not to mention I got my entire crew to survive the last mission for the second time, which is always a cool feeling.

Share your epic stories of Mass Effect 2 here.....there's gotta be a ton

My only request is...no spoilers man, this game is too good to spoil

I am actually working on this!

I was getting VERY frustrated on the Collector ship when they battle you on the floating platforms. I swear if I heard "Assuming control of this vessel" one more time I was going to snap.

I also can't beat that side mission with the crates and the 3 huge mechs.

I'm very very sad that they didn't do a PS3 port.

Just wait until the last mission man, my god I hate harbinger.

The squad I used for my final mission run was Thane and Mordin (wish I had figured out this crew was beastly sooner), my guy was a level 30 Guardian Sentinel.

Just throwing a couple tips out to help, but on Tech heavy levels (Mechs!) I would use Garrus (Heavy Overload, I made the mistake of giving him Area Overload and to be honest it doesn't do much) as well as Miranda (Again, heavy overload).

Try to keep moving if possible, and use heavy weapons as much as possible (I used the Particle beam pretty much the entire game). You can try using the Nuke launcher, but thats pretty much one and done, and if you miss you're screwed.

It really depends on what class you're Shepard is though.

        -----------

It's funny, cause I spent a good 12 or 13 hours playing yesterday only stopping to eat or talk on the phone. Haha. I felt delirious after I beat it cause I've been hell bent on getting all the achievements for a couple games before NCAA 11 comes out next week (Which, if you're on my friends list is the only game I'll be playing for months).

I can't figure out what I'm going to do next, probably MW2 because I've only got 2 achievements left there.

All my other playthroughs I did every side quest and all that, but this last one on Insanity I did the bare minimum plus Project Overlord. I just recruited every squad member plus their Loyalty missions. I kept saying I was going to take a break, but every time I got closer to the end it just made me want to finish more.

        Eff Harbinger, man.

Finished it a few weeks back. I am simply in awe of the great quality. Sequels sometimes fail, but there are several good ones in the Fall 2009-Summer 2010 time, and Mass Effect 2 is one of them.

The only part I don't like is getting the final mission done, keeping my whole team alive, and now being forced to wait eons for Mass Effect 3.

Oh, and since I chose paragon, I was nice to Jack, but coldly rebuffed her right as the final mission started. I'm surprised she's still with us.

You guys that have the patience and ability to do this, I applaud you.

I'm happy when I have the time to get a game and beat it... I was on a second playthrough on a harder difficulty (not insanity though)... but I just can't keep it going.

And I absolutely LOVED this game.

It's a slower pace and not a whole lot of running and gunning. Totally recommend trying it as a Sentinel and using Reave as your bonus power. It's all about biotics on the higher levels

I'm using a level 30 Infiltrator with tungsten ammo. It works alright.

I use Grunt and Garrus. Garrus to help with anything electronic and Grunt because he is a tank (plus I like the concussion shot). I also use the Blackstorm Singularity Projector as my heavy weapon because I like the splash damage.

I won't touch the Project Overlord until I go through on an easier difficulty again (with a Renegade character) but I did get all the crew members.

Mordin, really? Huh, that's interesting. I hear he's like the weak link, especially if you want your whole crew to survive, so I always make him escort the crew back to the Normandy Miranda is my favorite crew member to use.

My whole crew survived when I played Normal (which isn't that hard but SO WHAT, I got the achievement anyway ) and now I'm just replaying the game again and again moving up a level each time, so I'll reach Insanity eventually.

                  Best game ever.

I have done close to 5 playthroughs and I am working on my Sixth and final before ME3 comes out. Anyone know anything about the third one?

Just that they will have over 1000 variables that can be imported from the first two games (most probably very small).

You obviously can't import your ME2 game if Shepard dies.

                      All deaths are permanent

There will be consequences if you cheat on your ME1 fling.

and I heard a rumor that there will be online play

That's always a good idea, the Blackstorm works well on pretty much everything except Heavy Mechs I found

I'm going to replay the entire series as soon as I know when the game will come out. Especially since I know what to expect around every turn and with every choice between the two.

The huge ones for me will be I gotta let the Rachnii queen live, Save Wrex, Save the Council (didn't last time around), promote Anderson, and probably beat the hell out of Conrad Verner.

One of my favorite parts of the game.

My character is super nice to everyone, except him. I shot him in the foot as soon as I could.

My other favorite part? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eeruIZ0T44 In both games
