This is an interview with the creators and goes into much greater depth on the new series.

Yeah, kind of a buzz kill when they just out and said Tenzin is Aang and Katara's kid. And I still want to know about Zukos mom etc.

I hope this is like an interim story before they complete the first one.

Nice find man. Guess that clears up on how aang and katara turn out, which like they said isnt much of a surprise.

Hopefully I am wrong and that this will be as good as the first, which in other words it will be an amazing anime.

well it wasnt much of a surprise i mean we already knew Aang had a son named tenzin...so who could the mother be??? it wasnt to hard to figure out without them saying anything IMO if it was anyone but Katara id be disspointed

i want to believe it is as good as the first one but it looks like its just gonna be one season and the story is pretty simple i hope they have references to the last air bender

In the interview they said they will tie in somethings from the first avatar so there probably will be. As for only one season maybe it will only be as a test to see how the public responds to the new avatar without aang. If the recepetion is good they could make the story line much deeper by moving beyond just a one bad city need helps theme.

Katara being Tenzin's mom was kinda obvious. I mean the ending of The Last Airbender pretty much made it so that anyone could connect the dots.

Also, I fail to believe Zuko's mother died in The Last Airbender. That scenario just seems so outplayed and overused in other stuff. I just don't think she died, it seems a little to obvious, especially with all the flashbacks and visions, him and Azula were having.

I could never get into Inuyasha, doesn't that have more eps than DBZ?

It'll be more interesting seeing people get used to not seeing a male Avatar. Kiyoshi probably had the biggest fanbase, for a female Avatar, and we only got to see her in a few episodes here and there.

And this is supposedly, going to take place in one huge city, I think bigger than Ba Sing Se (which was HUGE). So that "helping the village" crap, probably won't be in.

I know, but it would have been nice to see it play out rather than just have it blurted out.

I've seen all 167 initial episodes, 4 movies, and there's another season that I haven't seen yet that came out last year "InuYasha: The Final Act" that has 26 more.

I agree. It would've been funny if Tenzin's mother ended up being the girl that liked Aang when they saved the town from the volcano.

Mostly the reason I couldn't get into Inuyasha was because I didn't know what the hell, was going on. I would only see a few episodes here and there.

I know he had a brother though. And there was this freaky looking guy in a fox mask or something. And IIRC, wern't there like these flying insect things? I haven't seen that show in at least, 5 years. I used to watch it occasionally, years ago. But I forgot most of the stuff I knew about it.

I might actually watch it "In depth" sometime soon, and the amount of episodes isn't an excuse seeing as I've watched the whole DBZ series, countless times, and that had over 260 episodes.

Naraku (But when you saw the masked figure it was just his spirit projection) And Naraku is really the being that resulted after Onigumo, a human bandit that was crippled and a horde of weak demons that he bargained with and said they could eat his flesh if the demons would combine into one entity to become part of that new body and essentially make him a powerful half demon.

Those were Kikyo's soul stealers that she used to keep her dead body animated by absorbing the souls of dead women.
