What are your favorite controllers, and your least favorite?

Favorites:

Genesis-Great for everything, one of the best controllers ever made.

Saturn-Excellent for platformers, fighters, and racing games.

Playstation (1-3)-The best controller for fighting games, and good for everything else.

Atari-Instant classic, and pretty much started the whole 'Pause button' thing.

SNES-Had plenty of buttons, and is probably my favorite, for 2D 'beat-em ups'

360-Best controller for FPS, by far.


Least favorites:

NES-Couldn't stand it, too small for me, but was great for platformers, and 2D shooters.

Atari 5200- :brick: <----- Nuff said...

N64-Piece of crap, wasn't good for anything, aside from FPS games.

Wii-I just don't like Motion Controlls, so I'm kinda biased against this one.

Dreamcast-It was innovative, and great for some things, but was crappy for a lot of things.

I love the 360 controller. PS3 one hurts my thumbs If I ever get a PS3 I'll just buy one of those USB hookup deals that let you use a 360 controller with it.

The PS3 or 360 controllers don't hurt my thumbs.

The only controller that hurts my thumb is the Dreamcast.

But yeah, I love the 360 controller, I just can't stand playing Tekken and other fighting games with it. They need to design a new D-Pad for it, then it will be perfect.

You can't go wrong with the classic Playstation controller either. There's a reason they've kept the same design since the PSX.

The n64 hurt my thumb... because it was a plastic joystick!.... WITH RINGS ON IT.... lol.



The ps3 doesn't hurt mine at all, nor does the 360...

I have 360 and PS3, but I prefer the PS3, it is quite light, and I like the recharge.

I use the 360 alot more, but let's just say that a lot of battery packs are broken and cracked from some......rage.

I love the PS3 controller, hated the fat original xbox controller. Also anyone remember the very first PS1 controller with no analogs? We sure have come a long way since NES/Atari days.

Yeah, the first PSX I had came with a no analog controller. Then a few years after that, I brought another PSX system, cause my first one broke, (forgot how) and this one came with the analog controller. I liked the ones with no analogs, but imagine playing a PS3 with no analogs on the controller

You can't go wrong with the Atari controller. Nothing's more simple than an analog with one button. I own an Atari 7800, but I use the Atari 2600 controller with it.

I like the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers equally, they're both awesome in different ways. My least favorite would have to be the Wii controller, I just feel so uncomfortable using it while gaming.

Love the xbox360 controller. The one I hate most is my numchuck/wii controller (love the gamepad though) in the new gen. My snes controller was a effing up my hands as a kid. I think once i hate a blister playing Mario and Megaman all day long.

I feel the same way, they both have their pros and cons. I voted the 360, just because I've owned it longer but I like em both equally

The Wii is the worst controller out of all 3 of them. Most of the time, it doesn't work right, and it doesn't respond. Not really something I would want to play games with.

Use the Dreamcast controller for over 2 hours, and see how many blisters you have

i think i'm the only one here who really likes the dreamcast controller... but my favorite would be the PS3 controller with the Pelican add on of triggers.

Favorite would have to be the 360 controller and the ps3 is good as well. The ps3 controller just is a little small or at least feels that way to me.

The worst was def the original xbox. On top of that when I had that I was a fairly young kid so wrapping my hands around it was even harder than normal lol.

The Dreamcast controller was alright, it just got too uncomfortable after a while. But like I said, it was a good idea, and it was good for some things, especially rail shooters.
