Yes I admit it, I watched the Bachelor Pad, partly cause my daughter and even my wife (for a bit) plunked themselves in front of the tv to watch it.....Monday night must be pretty dull around our house!!!! Anyway, the show is trash. And for my money, it's a very, very sad imitation of Survivor. In fact, I hardly get the connection with the main "looking for a mate" show - other than these are characters who once were part of it. These folks are desperately looking for fame and money, and desperately failing.
What is even sadder is that some folks who left the Bachelor/ette with some dignity - Gia, for example, have lost any form of respect, based on their behaviour on the show......or I guess lying and falling for anyone who flatters you, is something you want the viewers to be aware of.
What trash!!....but hey, I guess I was trash for watching it with the family!!!

My wife is a Bachelor/Bachelorette watcher so I know most of these people from the original shows they were on. What I kind of like about it is that ABC finally accepted the fact that the editing and contestant manipulation in the original shows is what made them popular, and so they went ahead and made a show about just that. Kudos to them, I guess. I've heard a lot of less than flattering things about the creator and the host too. But, they picked some people that have the potential to make some good, albeit trashy, TV.
