Calvin and Hobbes Movie

BUT. if they ever did a Calvin and Hobbes movie (most would probably feel it best if they did it cartoon style) but if they did a live action version, who does everyone think could play everyone?

it's very difficult to find young children who are actually talented at acting.

i think david hyde pierce could play "Dad" but i dunno who could play "Mom"

what does everyone else think?

and if they did a cartoon version, would you rather have it illustration style or something like Pixar?

The day this happens is the day I go on a bloody rampage. Thankfully, Bill Watterson will never allow it, and hopefully will live a long life free of people attempting to get him to relinquish his trademark and destroying everything he stands for.

I don't even care to speculate on who would be involved in such a project, but if it's not animated it just won't work. The imagination behind Calvin & Hobbes just wouldn't allow for live action.

I almost had a heart attack. Lol Man, that would have been terrible. Calvin and Hobbes is one of the best comic strips ever, and it would be ruined if someone tried to do a movie with it.

See, I don't even know who would play the characters, and even if it was animated, it just wouldn't be the same.

I for one am definitely for this.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but I feel there is likely a bunch of people who agree with me but wouldn't admit it publicly, because nobody likes to be flamed.

I think the comic was alright, but could have been much better. Decent idea, but poor execution. They should have explained whether or not Hobbes was real, for one.

I think the possibilities are endless for how they could go about this.

OMG... They could do it in Anime! The artists and writers in Anime have always been top-notch...



How things turned out for Calvin and Hobbes... a sequel of sorts from the comic...

Jessica Alba would make me watch the movie!!!

Given those actors...that would be one screwed up family no wonder he talks to a stuffed animal haha

On that note the movie would be terrible and Bill Watterson is probably trying to let the greatest comic of all time rest unless he sold the right which he will probably never do...hopefully.
