Deadwood is a good show too. [FLAME SUIT ON] The Sopranos is grossly overrated.

Best show ever made. Hands down, period, end of discussion. From the first scene to the last, this show is incredible.

I loved The Wire. Anyone who hasn't seen it should, because it's easily the most honest show about urban life I've ever seen. The funny thing is, when TV shows about gangsters and cops are made, usually the people the shows are about scoff at the portrayal, because it's never authentic. With The Wire, it was, and the following for the show cut across all cultures and all classes.

The characters were so well developed, I found myself strangely sad when certain ones departed from the show - characters I never thought I'd be sad for. Damn, what a great show.

HBO has an excellent track record for creating compelling shows with great writing. I loved the Sopranos and Oz, but The Wire is still my favorite of all.

Also love The Pacific, Big Love, John from Cincinnati, Breaking Bad and The Sopranos.
