Is my ps3 to old ?

Ah, thank you. I can't give an exact forum. Usually what I do is I identify my problem, type it in on google, like PS3 games running poorly or something and then go through several links. There is a bunch of good stuff. Sometimes game websites have their forums for tech support and all that. PS3 has forums, Xbox has forums, and several sites do. New Vegas was defintley rushed. They saw the success with Fallout 3, which probably led them to believe they could release NV earlier than they should.

With the amount of bugs, crashes, and glitches in that game, it makes me believe that we're actually playing a beta and not a full game. Which is sad because no one should have to pay $60 to be beta testers. That's Bethesda's job, not the consumers who buy the game. I hope they actually put effort into Skyrim, but I'm not counting on it. I've lost all hope in New Vegas. I really can't play it as much as I want, due to all the bugs. Hopefully they release a patch fixing it, but that's just wishful thinking.

Thanks for that input. I hope Skyrim is good too, considering I love Oblivion to death. I liked Fallout 3 as well. I completed Fallout NV, but it was so glitchy and choppy with freezes and slow frames that it made it less enjoyable. I hope a patch comes too, but I agree, you never know.

Honest question. Do you think Fallout NV was rushed? I was talking with my brother, and he was watching me play it, and he said it was rushed. This is going along with what you said about getting games too quickly on the market, so I thought I'd ask. I think it could have been tested better.:thumb:

It's the norm that all Bethesda games like Fallout, are bug galore. I have New Vegas on the PS3, and I can barely play it because it crashes too much. It causes the whole system to freeze, which obviously isn't good. Something that costs $60 shouldn't be able to prevent a $300 machine from working...

It's kinda like a dollar bill, clogging up an ATM machine. In this regard, consoles are rarely the issue. Developers need to stop hashing un-finished games to the market, while wanting $60 bucks for them.

I have Xbox and Ps3. I played Fallout on the 360, and I nearly pulled my hair out. The fact of the matter is that Fallout contains numerous bugs and such, most notable freezing and choppiness. I think it is the game, considering somebody like Gamespot said that it had several annoying bugs.

AC brotherhood is where I am concerned though. Again, I played it on 360, no problems, and the Xbox has been with me since 2008.

However, since it had problems on PS3, it may be the console itself.

I only use the PS3 for exclusives like Gran Turismo, God of War, Killzone, and Demon's Souls, but I also have not used it more than about 3 times since the xbox in 2008.

I would say it is a blip, and if it continues, maybe see if a friend's disk works differently. See if it is the disk first, because consoles are an investment.
Maybe online tech forums? Other people are guaranteed to have the same problems.

My point is that age isn't a factor for me, maybe overuse?

I'd do it before Spring of 2011 if I were you. After that, tons and tons of great games will be on their way. And if your system is having trouble playing them, you'll be missing out on a lot.

ah thats true didnt think about it man what would i do if my ps3 cant play kilzone 3 or resistance 3

That's the point, who the hell wants to horde old systems when the new system should allow you to play the older games? It worked with the PS2. Why Sony took it out of the PS3, is a mystery.

I don't want it, but it seems like a good price for someone. Also, I have no connections to the person, nor have I spoke to them. I just heard it on the radio no more than 20 minutes ago.

I highly doubt it's due to your console. A console wearing down won't give you poor graphics, and it's rare that it will cause your games to be buggy or laggy. It's just the games.

i just taught that being old had having a lot of hours on it it was starting to due
