Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

i'll never understand the hate for Superman Returns. it was far from spectacular, didn't live up to the hype or anything and Kevin Spacey is almost the worst choice for Lex Luthor you could think of....but a bad movie? no way.
It was the kid. The kid is like a cancer that grows and envelopes the whole movie in a bag of cancer-fail.
And also Lois being married and Superman doing a peeping Tom.
And also yet another failed Lex land venture.
It was a weird decision to do an homage to the Donner film.
You would be surprised how many English actors there are and could not tell by their accent.
Dr. House
What's his name from the walking dead
Jax from Sons of Anarchy
Jimmy, the IRA member from Sons of Anarchy is not even Irish.
None of these characters are a personification of the American ideal though.
This is like finding out that Uncle Sam was Brazilian.
Its not a question of whether or not this actor can "act" American. It is the idea of taking a image so readily identified with a people and handing it off to someone that isn't represented by that icon.
John Bull is British.
Uncle Sam is American. And, by adoption, so is Superman.
Christian Bale plays Batman. it'll be okay to have this guy play Superman.
Batman is different though. While Batman is an iconic character, he isnt an American icon. The Batman character doesnt represent the ideals of the country as a whole.
I'm fine with the pick. My concern is that i hope snyder avoids telling an orgin story of the character. It seemed okay when singer did it, but i would like to see a more straightforward story this time around. One thing's for sure is that snyder will add the action, which returns lacked heavily.
Superman movies has always been my favorite movies of all time.It will never be another actor to play superman good as Christopher Reeve,he was the best!
Why in the Hell are you saddened over that ? that movie was garbage every single piece of it that was a terrible terrible movie ... who directed that CRAP ??? ...
OH yeah BRYAN SINGER
Because I liked it.
Ask me about My Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.

Charlie Hunnam. Actor: Sons of Anarchy. Charles Matthew Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980 in Newcastle, England, to Jane (Bell), a business owner, and William Hunnam, a scrap metal merchant. At 18 years of age, he made a guest appearance in popular TV series Byker Grove (1989).
He gained fame in Britain thanks to his television role as the love-smitten Nathan Maloney in Queer as Folk (1999). Independent movies, television...

Co creator of Superman (Joe Shuster) was Canadian. Idea that an All American guy has to play superman, or even a foreigner sounds strange to play him does not do that much for me considering his co-creator was from the Great White North.

haha. yeah the kid thing was weird. i mean it's not inaccurate. they do have a kid together whom Bruce Wayne becomes the Godfather of. but the timing is wrong in the film.
the peepin tom thing, i can see how that would be unnecessary. and yeah, what's with Lex Luthor trying and trying to make it in real estate and failing? i think mostly because instead of being a "returns" story it was more like a remake with a returns story thrown in. but at least they explained why he was gone.
Batman is different though. While Batman is an iconic character, he isnt an American icon. The Batman character doesnt represent the ideals of the country as a whole.
eh. i think Batman is just as big of an icon as Superman. i see what you're saying, just based on the way the Superman story goes. Truth, Justice and the American way blah blah blah.
but so what. Bruce Wayne is just as American and patriotic, if not more so considering he's actually HUMAN.
what about the alternate cannon where Superman landed in Russia instead and became a RUSSIAN icon?
