One of the best skits of all time was the Anita Hill hearings skit. For those of you too young to have been watching, it was the most timely, well done satire of a current news event ever. For some reason, the Clarence Thomas hearings captivated the whole nation. They were late enough to be in the era of the 24 hour news cycle, but early enough to where there wasn't an explosion of information on the internet and cable. The whole nation was watching, and SNL did a pitch perfect send up, RIGHT THEN, that week.
