And do you want me to throw out other examples to refute this sales=good game, formula you guys have going on here? Sales don't mean anything at all.

Who cares what other people like. If everyone liked CoD it would have 3 times the number of sales it does now, and since that's not the case, that means there are millions of other people who DON'T like it, so you proved nothing.

And like I said, CoD is marketed towards casual gamers, while games like Killzone, Crysis, or Halo are for more of the hardcore gamers. CoD is so popular because you can pick it up and play with ease, and it doesn't take much time to master, hence why it's marketed towards casual gamers. Take someone who plays nothing but CoD and send them to Killzone 3 online, they'd get destroyed. Killzone and Halo are multiplayers that require actual skill to be succesful at, CoD doesn't require that, you can basically get a positive k/d ratio without even trying.

I dare you to play Killzone online. I guarntee you'll have a sub-par k/d ratio.
I agree on all accounts. CoD requires no skill to play, there are more casual gamers than hardcore gamers, so sales will favor a casual game.

I saw one of CoDs best players get destroyed in Reach, now I'm not saying ALL cod players fair badly in hardcore games, but most of them do.

I agree that people tend to think it's amazing(see above comments), every game has good aspects.

Black Ops does have very few good aspects, I like how they run there killstreak system(not the killstreaks themselves) I like the idea that they failed to get. I thought it would be cool, to play a spec ops game based during the Cold War, but they failed at making that a good game.

I've played almost every FPS game online, and CoD is not the best or top 10 for that matter.

Me and Amari spoke of Crysis 2's online, I said how it was not good. In which I didn't mean, I enjoyed it. I still play the demo, my reason for saying it was bad before, was because I had a few flaws in which will probably be fixed before the game even comes out. At the same time he enlighted me on the fact that Crysis is not circled around it's multiplayer, but even with that, I think it's a pretty good game online, way better than Cod.

I still disagree, on all points...best shooter I've ever played...no, I dont know what is to be honest but I would say the sales would indicate something! It's not like Madden where there is no competition, since 2003 shooters made have jumped up like 70%, LOOK at how many different games there are now on all platforms....can't say they dont have competition. ON top of that they still set that "record" or whatever, sooooo where YOU may not like it, apparently millions of others do. And they can't ALL be wrong sir.

Either its: CoD is easier than the others or most of my friends have it, or I bought it because I buy every Fps game that comes out.

Anybody that bought CoD for it's campaign or thought it is/was a good all around game, clearly doesn't know much about gaming, nor how to judge a game.

The Avater had good sells, but yet it was not as good as the money said.
Meet the Spartans had good ticket sells, but it was one of the worst movies of the decade.

Call of Duty is not good, it's just that simple.

So by this logic Madden is the best sports game on the market?

Sorry, but at the end of the day, CoD is nothing more than a turd covered in gold, which is why it brings good sales, but plays like crap.

That's just you guys. The campaign was a joke imo. Absolutley no replayability, seriously after you beat it once, what's the point of playing through it again? The campaign of Black Ops was anything but creative. I honestly wonder if you guys have played any shooters other than CoD...

If you play shooters like Halo like Insane said, you can see the quality of the campaign, and how Bungie didn't focus everything on multiplayer, I just didn't feel that way when I played Black Ops. There's a reason why most reviews praise games like Halo because of their campaign, and why CoD games only get praise for their multiplayer. Speaking of Halo, Reach's voice acting blows any CoD game's out of the water.

Also it doesn't matter about the game, there's always room for improvement. Look at Killzone. It came from being a mediocre shooter on the PS2, to one of the best FPS this gen on the PS3.

And yes, Crysis isn't centered around finding one guy, it's actually more interesting in the sense that it's a 3 way war. You have to fight off the aliens, but you're also fighting against a spec ops group who wants the Nanosuit back, so you have to go against them as well.

CoDs voice acting is ok, not to special. The game could be longer, and not so repetitive.

Every Cod game is the same, there is no difference, other than the weapons.

To me the campaign was not creative, but just the same as the others. Each CoD game of recent, have you looking for somebody, how about changing that up. You not even looking for different people, the whole story in each game since CoD4 is lets find one guy for 4hrs.

In other shooters, in which most shooters have better story and multiplayer than CoD. They don't circle the story around finding 1 guy. In Gears are you looking for 1 person through out the entire game? No

In Halo are you looking for 1 person through out the game? No
Battlefield, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, etc I don't know much about Crysis, but I'm sure Amari would gladly say, the story is not circled around finding 1 person.

Actually you're a year too late. Black Ops is the best selling game of all time in 2010, they're not counting the 2011 sales. It was a little over 13 mil copies sold in 2010. I also forgot to mention, it's only the highest selling in the US, not worldwide.

Sorry to spoil your history enrollment, but you're a little to late. You can try with MW3 though.
