  • TUF; Lesnar vs. JDS

Anyone watching? I watched that first episode last night. Kinda interesting how they just went right to the house. Not a fan of that. I liked when they would make the fighters fight their way in so we got to see them in the octogon first. And also got to get a taste of the coaches too.

Shamar Bailey... anyone know if he has an relation to Champ? I was watching as he fought and I couldn't help but notice how they have a very similiar face structure. Also, at one point someone yells to him in the ring- "Stay on top of him Champ"... could be just a coincidence.

    Shamar-

    Our great Champ-

Okay.... maybe side by side they don't look as much as I thought.

I looked it up, I didn't see anything saying he was related to him. On fightwiki it named one brother, whom is in prison.

I watched it, I always do. I do agree that it's better to have them fight into the house, but I don't run UFC. I want Junior's team to win, along with him over Brock in there fight.

I think Shamar will be great in the UFC, so far he is my favorite to win it, yes it has only been one fight, but from his experience to his wrestling to his striking, he is solid.

He didn't show striking in his match, but I think he has allot up his sleeves, especially since everyone thinks he is all wrestling.

If they had fight to house, then he would have been Brock'd first pick.

I expect this season to be interesting MMA wise than last season, because there will actually be a challenge, last year, it was all GSP's team, while only 1 fighter from the other team got a win.

Yeah, I like Shamar. Plus, it's so early and he had that fight in the bag. Part of me thinks he did it right in not getting himself hurt. It's a long season, he has a few more fights in front of him. I didn't see anything about family ties to Champ either.

Last season, I think most of the problem was Kos. He was such an arrogant ass while GSP was a coach and mentor before and ego. And it showed in their fight too. Anywho... I don't mean to digress.

I do like JDS. He cracked me up with his- "I can't talk to them, they won't understand me" things he kept saying. Brock? We'll see. My jury is still out on him.

When it comes to Brock, I have dislike him as a athlete since he first started out in the WWF(E). I just don't like his way of doing things, ego, nor his attitude.

I think Cain Velásquez showed the rest of the fighters how to beat Brock, so unless he learns something new, every fight he has will be harder.

Or was it Carwin who showed everyone how to beat him? Carwin just gassed. That fight should have been called with Brock rolled into a ball against the cage.

Off topic but I want to see a carwin vs valasquez fight. Like you said I think the match should have got called in the 1st round. But I think with Carwins style itd be a good match vs cain

Couldn't agree more to me it should have been Carwin Vs. Valasquez for the UFC Heavyweight Championship

Lesnar is a joke I've said it over and over again his MMA record should be (5-3) loss to Carwin

I haven't seen this season of the show are they doing the samething where the winner gets the Title shot at Cain ?

                Episode three was last night.

                Couple comments:

                1. Dos Santos seems like a genuine, great, nice guy. He comes across very caring.

                2. Lesnar....from the previews of the season it looked like he would be the jerk I always believed he was, but the more I watch the show, the more I am starting to believe he is not as bad of a guy that he is made out to be.

Doesn't mean I like him....but he's growing on me and seems way more down to earth than I expected.

That match would end the same as the Lesnar Cain fight.

Carwin doesn't have great boxing he just has the hit power of a truck. Cain's boxing is one of the best in the heavyweight division along with him having an endless gas tank.

                    Off topic as well

My favorite moment of the Cain Vs. Lesnar fight was how Calm Cain was ... When he rocked Brock and had him spinning away and falling down to get away from Cain ... Cain didn't rush in like a fool he calmly cooly picked his spots and finished him off

                    Very Impressive

I think if Carwin (who won the fight in the first round) would have reacted like Cain did after he rocked Lesnar it would have been Carwin Vs. Cain for the Heavyweight Championship
