    IMHO

I think it's dumb that there already have it coming out, and it's not like the XBoX in which is suppose to come out in 2014. The Wii 2 has a rumored release date of late 2012 or early 2013.

Thats way to soon, especially considering the fact that they don't have to make it. They have had the lead in sales since it came out, so cash is not the issue.

Anyways here is a video from a blunt guy that work for next gen tactics, he talks about the WII. In I agree with him, and it's dumb that the wii will be using a old graphics card.

If I had to choose a time period and a Nintendo console to play between the Gamecube, Wii, or N64, I'd definitely take N64.

Sure, right now I'd probably take the Wii over the N64, but that's just because of the time period, but if I could go back to when I was like 8 years old and enjoy the N64 as much as I did back then, I'd definitely take that experience over something like the Wii or Gamecube.

These things have touchscreens, so I can imagine them being more than a DS3 which are about 50 bucks at Walmart. This isn't looking good I don't think. Why can't they just keep things simple?
True, it definitely sucked to have to buy the WiiMote, Nunchuk, and either scare up a GameCube controller or one of those Wii ones...

It'll turn out once you buy a new console, get the additional controller(s) you need for it, and also the necessary accessories (like the rechargeable batteries that become absolutely VITAL), you can't actually afford any games!

Or you end up buying one game to last you until you can afford another game a few months later.... It gets ridiculous.

That's my point. If more people voted in that thread then it would give a better idea of what people prefer, but only 20 people voted in that thread, and hundreds voted in those threads. I never said their opinions are held higher than years, but you can see the difference more people when they vote on a poll. I'm still looking for the other thread though.
Crap, I can't access either of those sites because of the web filters at my work, but I believe you. However, I tend to take those kind of polls with a rather substantial grain of salt (much like you do with the poll on these forums) . Either way, I couldn't prove to you that more people like the N64 any more than any other Nintendo console other than the VB because I am much too lazy, possibly like those people who never got around to buying an N64 in the late '90s,

I'm just sarcastic because I can always count on a lengthy, passionate rebuttal by you.

But, like you said, we'll agree to disagree.

However, back to the OP's topic, I am VERY interested to see how this new touchscreen pans out. I see a LOT of potential in the concept, but that's what I also thought about the WiiMotes a few years back, and that DEFINITELY didn't pan the way out the way I hoped...

    That's all for me though.

It doesn't matter what the sales were. And yes, I know what a minority is (being one myself.) It's interesting that the majority, as you call it, hasn't shown itself on the poll on these boards. I guess us football fans' opinion about video games aren't nearly nerdy enough for the likes of those on the Gamespot forums.

And only nerds, my friends, are allowed to have opinions about video games. Look it up.
Really? Where's your evidence that most people would agree that the N64 isn't the worse, not named the VB? A poll that only 20 people voted in on a Football site? I have subjective proof that the N64 was a let down, and that was the sales figures, and what I've gathered from it's reception over the years. How doesn't it matter what the sales were? It was so hyped up, and it still got run over by the PS1. That must mean something doesn't it? That or people were just too lazy to go buy the N64.

Imagine the Wii, imagine if it was in dead last Vs Ps3 and 360. Wouldn't you call that a let down? The Wii was more hyped up than anything at it's launch, and if it sold badly, that would mean people weren't buying it. That would mean it was a let down.

The majority I'm referring to are those that actual follow gaming. How many gamers that actually know what the PS1 and N64 is, would come to a Broncos site, or any football site, just to discuss video games? I'd like to hear your estimate on how many would do that. I may discuss games here, but that's not why I signed up here, that's why I made a Gamespot, IGN, and Giantbomb account.

Also why are you changing up things I said, and making sarcastic comments about them? If I recall... I remember saying this...

I'm not saying no one's opinion matters here, but Gamespot is a site where people go to strictly talk about games.
Would you agree that more people sign up on Gamespot looking to talk about games, than people would here? I would, and the fact that over 1k people voted on a poll asking about the worse Nintendo console, the 2nd most voted for was the N64, with the first obviously the Virtual Boy.

Only about 20 or so people voted in the thread you're referring to, but I have a poll that shows thousands of voters. If everyone on these boards voted than it'd be a different story.

I'll just agree to disagree. I just don't know of any other Nintendo console that was as bad the N64, or the Virtual Boy .

Agreed, Gamertags, achievements and a chatpad/voice chat system is going to be pretty crucial as well.

Besides, I would take the vast majority of gamers on a gaming website like Gamespot, over the vast majority on a sub board of a football site. Not to mention, you do realize that not everyone voted in the PS1 Vs. N64 thread?

Take everyone on these boards to vote, and the votes would balance out or the PS1 would pass the N64. Only a total of about 20 people or so voted in that thread. Compared to the thousands of voters in the PS1 Vs. N64 thread on Gamespot. I'm not saying no one's opinion matters here, but Gamespot is a site where people go to strictly talk about games, there is only one off-discussion sub board on the site. Kinda like this place, most people come here strictly to talk about football, but there are a few like us that talk about games here.

The GameCube wasn't a let down at all. It actually did really well considering it didn't use any gimmicks, and it was going against the PS2, and XBox. I don't think I need to tell that the PS2 is the highest selling gaming hardware of all time. Nintendo marketed the GC for hardcore gamers mainly, also it came out after the PS2, when everyone basically already owned one, or an XBox, and just didn't need a GC.

Fine, we'll keep it strictly America then, but are you sure you want to do that. I mean the N64's sales compared to the PS1's sales in America are quite embarrassing .

I loved the GameCube too. I didn't like it as much the PS2, but it had tons of great games, and they weren't just a bunch of remakes like Mario or Zelda. It had games like Resident Evil 4 which simply owned.

I think I would consider myself part of the "most gamer" crowd, and I absolutely loved the N64. Also, I would have to say the vast majority of gamers on these boards concur with me, just look at the poll in the "N64 vs. PS" thread.

And that's comparing how many people like the N64 better versus your beloved Playstation, much less the GameCube. Now that, in my opinion, was a big letdown (the GameCube, that is). EDIT: To be fair though, I absolutely loved Metroid: Prime, but not a whole hell of a lot more than that...

And who cares how well the N64 sold in Japan or Europe? This is America!

I could understand the Wii, but the Gamecube.. no. The Gamecube actually had games that weren't just updated versions of Mario games. It also had some really good remakes. The Gamecube and PS2 at that time, were a Hardcore/Retro gamer's dream. Like I said, I can understand the Wii though, but I still like more games on it than I did on the N64, motion controls suck though.

It had more hype than the Playstation 1 and Saturn combined, and everyone expected the N64 to blow both consoles out of the water, and to be the best Nintendo console to date. Didn't happen.

PS1 destroyed the N64 in the US, Europe, and Japan, the three biggest gaming markets. It got completely decimated by the Saturn in Japan. It only beat the Saturn in the US because Sega of America failed miserably with the Saturn's marketing. The N64 was clearly a let down, you'd have to be born 5 years ago not to know that.

And if the N64 isn't the worst Nintendo console, what is? All of you guys keep saying it's not, but you aren't naming me any others. And before anyone blurts out the Virtual Boy, I originally said, "The worse Nintendo console NOT named the Virtual Boy". Since that's the case, you have 5 consoles to choose from. N64, NES, SNES, Gamecube, and Wii.

I hope you aren't implying those are worse than the N64. I don't like the Wii that much, but it atleast has a few great games that appeal to me, even though most of it's library consists of Rated E shovelware for younger kids.
