Nintendo 64. It had my favorite all time games on it. Super Smash Bros. Pokemon Stadium, Legend of Zelda, Mario and Star Fox.

Playstation 1. Like I said in the other thread, N64 didn't really have that many appealing games. GoldenEye is honestly the only game I cared about on the N64.

      PS1 had..

      -Tekken
      -Spyro
      -Crash
      -Rayman
      -Gran Turismo
      -Final Fantasy
      -Metal Gear Solid
      -GTA
      -Resident Evil
      -Castlevania SOTN
      -Road Rash
      -Gex
      -Spiderman 1 and 2
      -Marvel Vs. Capcom
      -Capcom Vs. SNK

      I could go on.

Not to mention you could run emulators on the PS1, with the N64 you couldn't do that.

N64, it had fun games, which is the key to playing a good game, is if it's actually good.

Plus N64 had the universal fix for it's game. "This game doesn't work" "Blow on it"

          Pokemon
          Star Fox
          Mortal Kombat
          Conker's bad fur day
          Super smash bros

              Sixty-Four

When the Resident Evil games became available on it, I bought them up.

I used to be a hardcore RPG fan and PS1 had some of the best.

Wild Arms, Final Fantasy (i loved all the ps1 FF games) Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Saga Frontier, Grandia, Vagrant Story.

That was the Golden Age of Console RPG's IMO Ps2 had some great ones too but nintendo really never had anything good since square left them after the SNES days.

I thought Tony Hawk was on the N64 too? I could be wrong but I remember my cousins had a Tony Hawk game on the N64.

Also I'm surprise to see now one bring up the graphics of both systems lol.

It was, I've got it on my bookshelf somewhere...

Graphics I think were probably better for the PS1, but I liked the game play better for the 64....

I believe it came out for the n64 after the PS. I could be wrong. Growing up my parents were divorced so I had one at one place and the other at the other place.

Hehe actually the norm back then was PS1 and Saturn games usually ran better at higher resolutions, but N64 games looked better overall. There are some PS1 games that look better than N64 games though. Like Crash looked better than Mario 64, but Mario 64 looked slightly better than Spyro.

Shenmue on the Saturn looked amazing at the time, but the game was canceled and then released for the Dreamcast instead.

I tell you what, if that thing was released back then, it would've blew people's mind. At the time it came out, Sega was slowly moving away from the Saturn, and eventually it was discontinued so they just saved it for the Dreamcast, which unfortunately bit the dust in only 2 years.
