There have already been two independently-released games about the Columbine & V.Tech massacres.
Trust me. If you've witnessed or heard about a tragedy, some ******bag has made a game out of it.

The games, while sick, and degenerative to our children, will make the market (constitution or something). Highly doubtful they see anything but cult appeal, and if they do get professionally published that will probably be that publisher's last game(s). Hopefully the media firestorm will destroy them before that point.
    it's about censorship really

let it get made, because the sales won't do squat

it's like the "postal" movie, and games before it

they simply don't have mass appeal and they fizzle out

So the good news is they know who did it. Now they just need to find him.

apparently the guy just got out of prison for 11 years just 5 days earlier.
a 65year old domestic terrorist? wow

I was in the parking lot when it happened waiting for my ride home from a martial arts class. I thought it was a car backfiring at the time. It was muffled, and hard to tell where the sound was coming from. I didn't know any better.

Fast forward to 1999. I was living in the Littleton area and at work less than 5 miles from Columbine when that tragedy took place. I cannot erase the looks of horror on the faces of the customers, and employees who had children at the school at the time when they found out there had been a shooting and the killers were still unidentified and roaming the halls. I lived next to and worked with several people who were affected directly by the shooting. Even though I was lucky enough to not be involved in the event myself I still lived with the end result.

That being said, it makes me very angry to hear something as insensitive and awful making light of the situation. It's no better than someone designing a flight simulator where the object is to crash your plane into a building. The thought of it disgusts me, and those people should be ashamed of themselves.

But I agree with Amari on each post he made, and yes I could see a lawsuit if this game is made, one being from the parents of the kids and college students that died that day.

As for comparing wars game to this, that is kinda dumb, because war game are reenactments with fiction added. But here reenactments of WWII, Cold War, Vietnam, desert storm, etc. People only cried about 2 war games, in that was one game that was never made because people thought it was wrong, it was a game that was gonna be based on the war in iraq. The second game is Medal of Honor, which is a fictional war game based off the middle east war with the Taliban.

My point is, your not picking names of dead troops, in throwing them in a game.
Everything other than the war, places, and military groups, are made up.

This company wants this game to be realistic to the core.
not all war games are re-enactments

ghost recon made a war game about going to war and killing north koreans

People understand why there are wars, or could be wars, sometimes wars are necessary, sometimes they really aren't, but never would a game about a guy shooting innocent kids at a college would ever be necessary. So I really wouldn't rub war games in the same boat as this.
yes but that's hypocritical, as the US is often seen to other countries, as the real terrorists

So this gaming company wants to make a game, where you play as the guys who did the Columbine shooting and the Va Tech massacre.

You run around killing students and you have the option to commit suicide if you don't wanna get arrested.

Here is a video from Next Gen Tactics talking about it.
in call of duty you kill a bunch of innocent civilians at an airport

but yeah, violence against children has always seemed to be taboo in videogames

i will however say i respect videogames and movies as an art form, and they've made movies about colombine type situations so as an art form, i don't think it should be censored

Reminds me of that level on Cod

    except this actually happend.

I don't get it, it'd be such short game the only thing it'd be worth is controversy. Not worth making or producing.

    Plus really that's so mean.

We had this conversation once before, but I do not expect you to remember. It is at a persons house, but it is not the one right there on the corner across from the king soopers. The one that has all that play stuff like swings and little plastic castle/fort thingys...

He goes to a place that is about 2 blocks west of that and 1 block east in a neighborhood, by a school called deer creek elementary or racoon deer or dolphin deer......there is some animal in the name but hell if I remember what it is.

You are right though, from reading a little more on the subject it appears to be a quick noise maker and not a smart grand plan. Luckily!
Ah yes, I remember now. And yeah, It's Deer Creek. My little brother went there.
