Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Sweet! I hope it breaks mine. I knew they were coming out with a new disc format, so I was curious as to how this would affect some of the older consoles with different disc readers.
I have a pretty early version of the original 360. I'm curious if mine will go belly up.

My first XBox was from '07, the AV input broke in it. My newest one is from '09, I wouldn't be incredibly pissed if mine broke because I still have a PS3 as well. But I've had some amazing experiences with it, and would hate to lose it.
No need to worry. The issues with system errors seem to relate to previous Xbox updates, NOT the one coming out tonight.
[UPDATE]: Microsoft's Major Nelson has posted a clarification on his website regarding the cause of the disc read errors that having been popping up, which should ease the minds of anxious gamers.
On his blog, Nelson fingers an old update as the cause of the errors, not the new update which will increase disc size:
"Clarification time! The console replacement plan that is the subject of some of today’s headlines is related to a previous update, NOT the system update that has been in public beta and will be deployed shortly.
"The new disc format that is part of the beta has been rigorously tested across all Xbox 360 models and there are no known compatibility issues.
"Hope that clears a few things up."
So when the new update rolls out tomorrow, don't worry about hitting that "Accept" button.
A new slim xbox for free or my old turd? Hmmm, tough choice.
Exactly, the only worrying I was doing was that it wouldn't break my first gen 360.

I got the update this morning at around 6am, I already have a slim so I doubt any issues will happen, especially when they say it's only a small number off one boxes.
