Good horror movies?

I enjoyed Amittyville Horror, the orignal and the remake. Not great movies... but both Paranormal Activities made my hair stand up a couple times.

The remake of The Hills Have Eyes. 30 Days Of Night was fun.

I agree with some of the classics mentioned on here so won't repeat them. I'd add a couple more that freaked me out:

Open Water - dang, makes me afraid to try scuba diving.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978 version, though I liked the '56 version as well)

The Changeling - a bouncing ball never scared me so much!

This is a pretty solid list - mixing eras of horror films throughout.

I haven't heard of Rec until FF's list above. It's in the top 10 it seems.

REC is the better (original) version of Quarantine. Go check it out.

i liked the original. the thing from another plant. the moster was played by James Arness. who recently passed away

Trick R' Treat is a great film if you don't mind blood. It is slightly gory.

I've seen both. Quarantine was god awful. REC is in spanish and is the original version, but even REC wasn't all that good, but if you have the choice, see REC over Quarantine.

i have honestly never seen the first 2 but ive wanted too and never got around too it. but those would be sweet. ive always liked post-apocalyptic ideas (fallout games) and a zombie one would be sweet if they can think of something original

most zombie movies are b-movies or worse and that sucks, Zombieland was great and pretty original in terms of a slight story to the usual zombie survival movie

Very Creepshow esque. My favorite is with the guy in his backyard the school teacher or whatever. I love how the stories tie in together.

Trick or treat. Lol. You had to feel sorry for those kids who got eaten The fight scene between the bus driver & pumpkin kid was awesome!!!
