Dany ending: kinda cheesy. Doreah, you little.... Should have let her die on the Red Waste.

But, I was looking for 3 things last night. (i.e. Hoping for these things to make it from the books to the box screen):

1) Valar Morghulis and Jaqen changing face... check
2) Jon Snow vs Halfhand... check
3) A certain vision of Dany's in the House of the Undying... "His is the song of ice and fire."

2 out of 3 ain't bad, I guess.

Oh, and I won't link it here, but go to YouTube and search for Game of Thrones Dominik Omega. Not bad.

Cool song .... or should I say... The man has good taste...

I was pretty pleased with the second season even where they kind of stepped away from the story lines (except for dany zzz) but all in all it was great.

I would imagine about the same time next year... though that is just a pure guess...

MnG will probably come in with a magical date tomorrow since he seems to know everything there is to know about the series.


I also suggest.... reading the books that should keep you busy for a bit... haha

You won't regret it. Totally worth the read.. the books are in my opinion better... but everyone always says that I suppose. only problem is waiting for books... that is excruciating

I was sort of disappointed with the finale

I'm not a book reader but even I know they aren't doing Jon Snow justice. They hardly showed the plan halfhand made with him. It made his actions look unnecessary.

The Daenerys ending was sort of mediocre and a bit too long for my liking. Her entire story this season was boring. I do think one of the visions foreshadowed what may be coming later.

Arya and Jaqen thing was really cool and was one of the few not disappointing things.

The Adventures of Brienne and Jaime is hilarious and awesome.

The Sansa and Littlefinger interaction was also pretty cool

See I thought the part on dany in the house of the undead was well short. I would have liked it a bit more thourough as the book has it. Instead of her just going through two doors, as they showed. Of course also like MtnMan said about her vision of song of ice and fire.

I thought they did great with arya, and were able to set up baelish and sansa (for what comes next) very nicely. Also, they did a great job with tryion and the varys. In the book, I missed something that now I understood. I wont spoil it, but in this last episode where varys basically tells tryion that he has Zero friends now (as Bronn has been removed from kings guard, and his other soldiers have been paid off from his dad and left)-and varys explains that while he has no friends and will get no recognition for what he did, there are others who serve the realm are greatly indebted to him and will never forget. I missed that part in the book, as there is a part in the future which I was curious about ............SPOILER: ( ......................
Whe Varys helps tryion through the tunnels .....which we all know why he was in them)..............I missed that part in the book and didnt understand why it was done, but now I get it. So I thought they did a great job of that, and it will help the average viewer pick up on it as well.




OH MTNMAN- I finally know what the R + L= J is all about. Very interesting indeed.

Dany's chapters are relatively uneventful in the 2nd book so in an odd way they actually did here storyline justice. Two things really stand out with her story in ACOK: when a certain someone shows up in Qarth (which the show did not show, but I'm holding out hope for next season), and the House of the Undying and the events within (which the show kind of showed). I thought the throne room vision was great: eerie and sad. It's becoming obvious that they will not delve into the historical aspects of the story too much. Even though I love that part of the story I'm okay with that decision. The written word can expand on the history much better than tv characters can. Not only could that get boring for the viewer, but it also takes away from the everj-important character development.

A little tidbit from Entertainment Weekly yesterday...

"– Break out the fine Arbor wine, some celebration is in order. Benioff and Weiss have renewed their deal with HBO to continue as Thrones showrunners for two more seasons. The agreement doesn’t automatically mean Thrones will receive a fourth season pickup, mind you, but fans don’t have any reason to worry on the renewal front anyway. Thrones is cresting a cumulative 10.3 million viewers per episode this season, making it the third most popular HBO series of all time. Not bad for a fantasy project that many in Hollywood assumed would scare off mainstream audiences, and “the Ds” deserve a huge amount of credit for its success.

Weiss and Benioff are currently adapting George R.R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords for season three. “Book three is a blast,” Weiss says. “A very, very big blast.”

Nice... We knew about Season 3, but we'll likely get a 4th season now too. This is going to be SO much fun. :devil:

With the shows popularity I do not see how we wont get atleast to a 6th season. Its been said that season 3 will be divided up into two separate seasons. So that means season 4 is still book 3. So book 4 is season 5 (if they dont split it, which I doubt they do) and Book 5 could be season 6.

(However, I could see them combining book 4 and 5 as I am not sure 4 has enough to make a season out of it, let alone a good season that will keep people interested.) This will hopefully give GRRM enough time to print book 6. And then we shall pray he stays alive long enough to print book 7 and keep the show going for the full series of books.

I suspect next season will earn them even more viewers (as us book readers know whats going to happen) and they will sign on for additional years.
