Any musicians?

I have musical talent, it comes along with all my other talents.

I play guitar, keyboard, sing, write songs, and have been asked to be apart of 4 different bands.(Turned them all down)

Just like my art talent, I'm not looking to make a career out of it, it's just something I do for fun.

You telling me you don't want to be a dirt poor struggling artist?!

I played a Saxaphone 3 years ago, and I have some experience with Pianos and Guitars. Though, I don't have the urge or spark to play these things today.

I used to be able to play drums but haven't picked up the sticks in a loooong time. I was also really good at trumpet...wouldn't even have to practice the sheet music I was able to just read and play. I used to try to rap but I have an aweful sounding voice so now I just stick to producing. Mixing down vocals is what I'm best at. Just helped a friend finish his next mix tape now he's going to have people come in and pay me to mix their songs after he record them. Should be fun.

I'm not the blessed one, even though there are some in the family. I played around with the Uke and guitar, but never followed through. I always admired the drums.

I have also been playing drums for 16 years and have mainly been in bands as a drummer.

I have to say that I have not yet "made it" I still have a day job that pays way less than being a rockstar.

I have fun though

Awesome dude. I'm not really into very much metal (I like Mastodon), but that's very cool. Good luck with that.

I use to play shows on occasion, and even met my wife while playing a show (9 years ago this august). Now the only real shows I play are to my two little one (they dont pay very well, ha).

I just played a bunch of covers at my "show." Was fun though, I was proud of myself for having the balls to do it in the first place. :thumb:

Yeah shows are awesome. I still play shows often around town. But I've Never been on a world tour or anything. ha

As long as u still have a passion and it makes u happy, then its all good.

I do.... I am an r&b/pop/alternative/hiphopy songwritter I sing all the songs I write on the demos, I'm currently shopping songs to bruno mars,trey songs,and ryan tedders publishing companys. I started out as a singer wanting fame and it was very promising, I was offered 3 record/writting deals that weren't too my liking, I've performed at the hammerstein ballroom in manhatten and michael boltons charity gala but soon after that I met my wife and no longer craved that "love" from fans. I got side tracked for awhile doin illegal things to get fast money and smokin so much I went to the nuthouse. But resently I started really going hard with it again after I made a couple sports rap songs that ppl liked...but yeah I make music and I feel like I write stuff that can compete with ne-yo and the dream etc(personally I feel like I'm better) and I feel like ill "make it" soon. My inner circle of friends are already getting there and all of them will say they are as good as they are from working with me. I have a boy that placed something with diddy and donny klang, my brother has opened for t-pain,nas, and slick rick, another friend placed something with missy for 30k, another has a placement in a twilight movie for 25k another in a video game(not sure which 1) for close to thirty so I definately feel like its possible to get success. Anybody really doing music that wants me to write to a track or wants to add a live instrument to a track I'm working on or makes tracks or even just wants to talk music hit me up. I work with a bunch of great producers and an incredible guitarist but I'm always lookin to work with more ppl

I'm curious to know if there are any musicians/people with musical talent hanging around here.

I can play the guitar, mandolin, ukulele, trumpet, and french horn. I don't have any interest in persuing a career in music or anything, but i've played and sung for people before and it's quite enjoyable. I played my first official 'show' I guess you could say a couple months ago after 4 years of playing guitar mostly to myself while in my room. It was nice.

keep at it! its a blast to be in front of a crowd, even if its just a small one.
