I'd like to see him say some of the offensive things he says, with no troops around to protect his rights to do so...

Idiots like Soulja Boy are the reason that so many people hate Hip Hop. Because truly intelligent hip hop artists like KRS-One never get airplay and media doesn't care about them. The only things that get posted on local media about Hip Hop are things like this that downgrade it as a whole. I wish we would hear more about the great things that come from Hip Hop than the bad.sigpicComment

Well, I've been to 3 combat tours..
i did a 12 month in iraq, turned around 18 months later did another 15 months in iraq, turned around 12 months later, and did 9 months in Afghanistan...
As a 12B Combat Engineer, we are always the first to be sent out on mission, and our job is to search for and destroy any enemy counter mobility ( IED's/Roadside bombs, and mine fields) which is called "route clearance". I have been in multiple fire fights, between all three combat tours my vehicles have been hit by 9 IED's which i suffered broken bones, torn ligiments, and concussions, which til this day has created a number of random migraines for me... I have lost 6 really close friends, which I called my brothers... Im a recipient of the silver star, and purple heart for being injured in combat, and going out my way, to save a fellow soldier in an hazardous situation...
Did all this without ever once complaining, or asking for anything in return, In which all of us Combat Veterans do... and at the end of the day I basically gotta hear Soulja Boy who spells the word "Soldier" as if he never graduated from elementary school say Eff me??...
I find it very offensive and insulting.. smh..
This is the thanks we get, when we risk our lives, and our personal health so he can make garbage CDs...
The worst part is not that Soulja Boy doesn't want to be a soldier -- that's his choice, and I'm sure you'd fight for his right to do what he wants if he can. But to question it as "fighting for what?" and say "be your own man" is an intentional insult. It is a fundamental lack of appreciation for the safe cocoon he lives in.Comment

first off let me say thank you for everything you have done for us as americans. these rappers and "artist" that want to talk about our troops should shut up or grab a weopon and stand a post. i too have served in the army and understand the conditions and loyalty that our soldiers have for this country even though the pay usually sucks and the long months away from family and friends, all of this so americans can be free and make the life they want to have. this outright disrespect for those that gave their lives so this ****** bag could make millions selling records that completely suck, should be taken as a smack in the face to all americans that understand why we have what we have. talk to your friends and family and convince them to stop buying this piece of S@#$'s albums.
