I think some things need to be clarified here.

1st, Alan & Berta both expressed remorse, Jake never shows emotion unless it's for food or the bathroom, & his mom never cared for anyone but herself, why would that change?

2nd, Rose cared, but she was always crazy. Her setting him up, not that over the top. I've known some stalkers, and they came close to that

3rd, IT WAS FUNNY. The bit with Alan dropping the urn was hilarious. IMHO it was better than all of last year

I agree, I found it hilarious.

It doesn't shock me how people reacted at his funeral. That's the lifestyle he lived. You don't really get any real mourners - you just leave a lot of anger and bitterness.

Give it a chance. We are ONE episode into a whole new season, with a great character in Kutcher.
