  • Madden Field Goal help?

Hey, I would be winning games if it wasn't for my terrible field goal kicking skills. Matt Prater has one of the biggest legs in the NFL. He makes 50 yard field goals. So why can't I make it from inside the 30? Am I kicking with way too much power or something? I usually max it out at 99% power and 99% accuracy.

Do I not need that much Power? Do you always want to get 99% accuracy when kicking field goals?

Sorry for the thread lol but maybe a veteran Madden player can help me out.

You either aren't aimed in between the posts.......or you are not getting 99% accuracy like you think.....

Power has nothing to do with it.

So, always aim right between the posts? Kk thank you!!!!!

In All Pro Football 2K8 you have to aim it to the left otherwise you shank it badly to the right.

Generally it helps to aim at your target

In my experience, if you aim the arrow down you kick it further. Also, make sure that you compensate for the wind.

The further "up" you move the arrow on kicks/punts the less distance it will have, in my experience.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Mathematically, a 45 degree angle launch will always give you the best distance. In Madden, kicking with the arrow almost all the way (if not ALL the way) down will give you the best distance. I almost nailed a 64 yarder with Prater with no wind behind me. Bounced off the bottom crossbar.

I know there is a view toggle. I know on the PS3 it is R2.

I know if I don't use it, I can't really kick it, and my view stinks.

                          Have you tried that?
