I think it's his story, his creation, and he should be allowed to do whatever he want's with it.
And I fully expect the next time there's a new format to watch it with, he will make even more changes, should he live that long.
That said, I am not buying a third set of the same movie saga. Or a fourth.

i would do the same thing if people continued buying the same product of mine over and over and over for 40+ years.
if he's not happy with something and he feels like he can change it and still put out a product, he's going to.

I get the argument its 'his creation' but this is just a blatant money grab. haha just kinda ridiculous...
now, who is the real idiot here? Lucas, or the people continuing to feed him?
we all know he hasn't really done anything other than Indy 4 of late, nor does he have to. His companies are responsible for 98% of all special effects, sound effects and visual effects creation in the industry. he doesn't really have to make a new movie at all, ever.
my ONLY beef with him is this: all the time and effort he's put into the minor tweaks of the already existing films, he could have made the final 3 episodes of the SAGA by now.sigpic

I am a huge Star Wars fan.
Some of those changes make sense for continuity's sake. Such as the Dug in Jabba's palace. While others simply have no purpose in the change. As others have stated, Vader screaming "No" takes away from the inner turmoil that was apparent in the original. The change in the Krayt Dragon call also is over the top.
