Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I'm sorry but that reeks of "Part of the game but removed to give you a reason to pay more money if you buy it used."
EA is still up to their old tricks it would seem.
That it is, one of the reasons I love indie developers and why I go out of my way to support their games.
a lot of people are pissed off about the free dlc which doesnt make much sense to me. Its the developers that made the decision and they actually posted on their forums somewhere about it. Its launch dlc that every new owner gets free, nobody would have a problem with it if it wasnt free and everyone had to pay it, but somehow a company rewarding the customers that support them is evil.
Again this is DLC that is free....its not a part of the game that was chopped out or anything.

I did read all that the biggest problem that arise from it was that the pass info broke before the company could pass that it was free DLC but it also said online pass and not free DLC. But I agree I think its good on the company rewarding the people who support them with free content.

yeah the only thing that was done poorly was how it was worded. They called it online pass instead of free dlc, tons of companys release games with free dlc and nobody cares. Batman was released with dlc for example.
Well the game came out today and I won't be able to play till tomorrow night so I wont probably be able to give any kind of review till later this weekend or next weekend.

Look anyone doubting this game let me try and end doubts some...I rented this from gamefly got it a few days later. Played for 5hours went out to the store and brought it the same day and gave gamefly back there game.
This is a solid title. I too have had my tiring of games like this. Two worlds II...Elder Scrolls...Sacred etc... this game is beautifully rendered and the combat is fluent in many ways. You have lots of developement choices side quest abilities. The game doesn't feel clunky or choppy everything flows.
You have many ways to execute enemies. I've knocked an enemy up in the air and juggled him with my daggers. Shot with my longbow used magic, I love the Harpoon ability that I have. I feel like Scorpion...get over here. You can pull enemies from a long distance with that spell.
Neat things is you can do all this in succession. Story so far is a little weak but that's my only criticism so far. It's enjoyable and a new take in a way on the action/rpg game. If you been thinking about it go out and get it or if you are one to wait for a price drop this is definately a game to look out for you will get good value.
Of course you have all your passive things to level as well. Persuasion, lockpicking, alchemy ext...You can also forge fragments and stuff that you find and infuse weapons and armor. I can't help but keep harping on combat. Game is fun for me atleast. It holds it's own out there and if you are looking to get out of skyrim this world isn't so bad.
That's all I have so far maybe I'll check back when I play the game more.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, they are appreciated as I am still very much on the fence for $60...I think I will end up waiting for a price drop and pick it up then. I am certainly intrigued.

Don't get me wrong Starbroncs, could we all just be spinning our tires in the air here? Certainly, however it could also just be yet another in EA's long line of injustices.
Think of it like a candybar. You're back to being 12, you're going into a gas station mini-market for a Snickers that you seem like you've been a fan of forever. You look around but can't find any so you ask the attendant and he tells you that he just got a shipment of special "new" Snickers in the back and will go get them for you. He bring a bar out for you and written on it is "10% more FREE!." Now as I said you've been a Snickers fan forever, to you it seems the exact same size. Being 12 you turn to the attendant and say "But it doesn't seem any bigger." The attendent glowers at you and fires back that "It says it's bigger on the label, so it must be bigger." Hurt, you pay your $1.25 and leave the store.
Do you trust the company trying to sell you the Snickers bar that it is 10% bigger and just be thankful that they are being nice to you their dear customer. Or do you trust yourself that it is indeed the same size and come to the sad realization that someone is taking advantage of you and doesn't give a darn about your opinion on the matter?

The problem I have with this statement is that I can think of more reasons for the Publisher to want this than the Developer. It wouldn't be the first time a publisher has bossed a developer around.

Customers would have a VERY LARGE problem with it if it wasn't free, the fact that it's free is a mitigating factor.

A company should support their customers by putting out a good product for ANYONE that buys it, not just the first adopters. What they essentially turn THIS DLC into is a value-added selling technique.

I believe that is entirely a matter of perspective.
I have logged in about 20 hours in the game now and I'm still going back for more. As the leveling system is incredible. Getting levels take a while but I've brought a house and got an alchemy bench I think it's a sorcery bench (I don't use magic much) and more cool stuff. I don't really need to go to shops.
I've gained in persuation and blacksmithing. I can create all kinds of weapons and armors which gave me a huge bonus boost. You have so much you can do on this game. I've gotten most if not all my levels so far (lvl10) Currently by doing side quest.
I fought the Spider queen recently and the boss battle was dynamic. I had to dodge her magic and fight off the spiders at the same time. I have new weapons I have Chakrims those are fun to play with. They are like Boomerangs and of course I put my shocking touch on them making them more powerful to stun opponents. You can also go with the monk approach with faeblades. Haven't used those much though. You can infuse them with frost fire poison your choice. Every weapon/armor is like that though.
For example Ii can use the faeblades and have a bow on my back to help with long range. I can be a sorcerer freeze a guy and get up close and finish him off with daggers. This is due to main/sub weapons combo. Now everything can't be as peachy and good. Sounds good on paper but certain abilities require you to have a certain amount of points in that skill tree to perform some moves. For instance being a lvl 10 sorcerer and a lvl 4 might you won't be able to use a greatsword that requires you to have 6 in might. So when taking on two classes you have to consider setting yourself back in a class. To me it's easy I am more of the melee type so I hardly touch magic. Having said that all my skills are on par up there but I am not a strong caster.
Back to the skill tree...I am going with Might and Fitness tree. Fitness I've mainly been lvling up my sneak and dagger techniques. There are these big guys with two heads called Ettin's big big brutes with hammers. Well my sneak and daggers were so high I got up and killed them behind there back with my sneak attack. You have a variety of ways to kill enemies in the game. Character customization is deep in this game with tons of possiblities which would make things fun for replay value.
I will end on this. FFXIII-2 just released and I'm as big of a FF fan as there are but I have put that down since I've played this game. It keeps me going back for more. If you are skeptical rent it but if you thinking of buying buy. This will hold you over until like mass effect 3 or street fighter x tekken whatever game preference you prefer. Easily to me on par with any game considering best release of the year so far. Any questions hit me up I'll try my best to answer them. I should have about 30 hours by friday or so and maybe new info..

Pretty good review. I haven't been able to put alot of time in this game busy with work, school, and family. But I know that bold part isn't correct. You are able to use any weapon in the game, just to increase it's ability in Great Sword (might), Fae Blades (finesse), or Chakrams (magic) you need to be level 6, but all are useable right off the bat.
I didn't get as far as you as I am barely pass the Demo are, but I am level 7 finesse build, with fae blades and bows. The combat in this game is very fluid and I really enjoy this game. The side quest for the most point tend to have a purpose, but it has like a mmo feel because nothing happens during the conversation except just standing there and talking. If you played the demo it just like that everywhere I have been. But it's a really fun game, but I know some want to hear some downsides so I will do my best...
One of the biggest down falls that this game suffers from is the difficulty, and it's a big thing on their forums right now, and Curt has even came out and said they were looking at it. (So +1 for new IP lol) But the game has some things that make it extremly easy, and as for my character being level 7 I haven't died yet and really haven't used that many potions because I really haven't needed them.
Recoking mode almost makes it a for sure win (haven't loss with this mode on), and makes some battles that should be hard easy. From what I heard Might builds are easy mode they dish out alot of damage and take even less, and I have seen videos where on hard they stand there and take a beating and take little damage. So early in the game is where most difficulty seems to be, but the ease of spamming potions makes it easy to stay alive if you do struggle.
Another thing is black smithing and sage crafting allows you to make gear that makes you overpowered and even allows you to make gear that is better than uniques and set gear, so unless you completly gimp your self odds are your going to be overpowered by end game.
So far I would probably give this game a solid 8/10, and I enjoying the game, just wished some things were changed a little to help with the difficulty, and a couple of little fixes and this game would be great.
O and when scoring I use a 1-10 scale and not a 7-10 scale like most reveiwers use lol. So I really think this game is a good game, but like I said I haven't been able to get really deep into this game, so I will do a better review probably in a week or two when I get alot more time in under my belt :thumb:

Yeah I just caught what you said I meant to say you could use the sword but wouldn't be able to equip it until your might hits lvl 6. All weapons are there for your disposal at any time but to get the good stuff you need to lvl up in the skill tree in those areas.
The difficulty is a bit easy although I struggled against the spider queen that was a tough battle but once I got my reckoning I beat her with ease. I died twice though and that was it.
I have been on side quest for what seems to be all game and I'm not lvl 15...I've joined two factions and now I'm doing their missions. Being a sagemaster and blacksmith though I can create super bad armor and weapons. Although where I'm at I have challenges. I think I'm treading places where I don't need to be because every fight is a grind almost.
I'd give it a solid 8.75 of 10 better than your average action/rpg just because you have so much you can do in the game and all the different varieties you can approach each encounter with. Fun game. (ready for blazblue continuum shift extend.) Litchi and Tsubaki rules....
