exactly what I was thinking.. hell he already #Tebowed the SI curse!

he's the only athlete to get featured on an si.cover TWICE in 1 month!!

it was almost as if the first time he was there had no effect.. SI curse was like "oh hell nah!" it had to get him twice (3 game losing streak)

I don't think Drew Brees escaped the Madden curse.

He had the most interceptions of his career, and had an MCL sprain:

Sean Payton told reporters at the Senior Bowl that quarterback Drew Brees played with a low-grade MCL sprain in his knee earlier this season.
Still minor compared to what the Madden curse usually does, but I hope Tebow and ALL Denver Broncos stay off the cover of that game.

Technically the SI curse proved itself. He got away with the 1st cover, but the 2nd one was after the Bears game. And the 3 game skid of terrible play happened.

Oh the curse is real. The list of flogged athletes is longer than the ones who've succeeded. For example, Look at EA NHL. The only one I can think of that had a breakout season the following year was Alexander Ovechkin. That's not to say that their won't be others who overcome the curse. But believe it, the curse is real...very real. The best way to beat it, is to avoid it.

Cmon people... How old are we?

There is no such things as curses.

Or Santa, or the Easter bunny.

I would love to see Tebow on the cover!!!

Yeah I don't believe in the curse and what not either

However, I actually think Rob Gronkowski should be on the cover. He has done some fantastic things this season

On a different note, when is EA losing their exclusivity to NFL games?

Actually not a bad choice! If TEBOW isn't on it, I'd vote for Calvin Johnson.

Breese was hurt. He had a slight tear of his MCL I beleive...or it was rumored...and he had to wear that big knee brace, couldn't step into his throws, and throw a lot of pics the first half of that season.
Sean Alexander broke his foot the year he was on the cover as well...Marshal Faulk ended up having a crap season, can't remember if he got hurt. MADDEN curse is for real.

                        Curses do not exist.

Take Peyton Hillis for example, he is using this so-called curse an excuse for his behavior this season. It wasn't his fault that his agent told him to sit out games in hopes of getting a big lucrative contract, it was a video game's fault.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Yeah Gronkowski spiking the ball on the cover of Madden would look pretty sick.

I think they extended it through 2013, so they won't lose it until 2014 I believe. The next generation consoles will be out around that time so hopefully 2K can get a fresh start with NFL 2K14.

I was thinking Gronkowski was basically a certainty for the cover.

Only if it's not extended again.

                                Don't bet on it.
