No, we would have been more successful if he'd had

That's assuming that whole stat based roster works for football.

Maybe there was an attempt to find out.

Honestly it did similar to Moneyball we had success at first (6-0 start) but eventually we fell apart (the As haven't won a post season game since)
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?

Well, when the bigger market teams start doing the "moneyball" thing with their deep pockets, it automatically takes the advantage away.

They said at the end of the movie that Boston won at least one World Series using the Moneyball principle. What sucks about it is their payroll is 5 or 6 times that of the Oakland A's. So if Boston sees a player and Oakland sees a player, where's that player going to go? Probably to the place that pays more money.

So, moneyball was good at first. But the fact that what he was doing got out was the downfall of it being his advantage. I think it would've been cooler if no one knew what the heck he was doing. He was just churning out good teams year after year. Should've kept that under wraps.
