Saw the movie the other day. Does anyone think Josh McDaniels read this book?

They said at the end of the movie that Boston won at least one World Series using the Moneyball principle. What sucks about it is their payroll is 5 or 6 times that of the Oakland A's. So if Boston sees a player and Oakland sees a player, where's that player going to go? Probably to the place that pays more money.
So, moneyball was good at first. But the fact that what he was doing got out was the downfall of it being his advantage. I think it would've been cooler if no one knew what the heck he was doing. He was just churning out good teams year after year. Should've kept that under wraps.
