AC 3 is suppose to be the last one, though I highly doubt it. Ubisoft will try to continue milking the series, maybe even for a 4th one that will be what the fans of the game are asking for.

Fans wont a full game where you play as Desmond. Desmond will be in this game, he has to be, because each game you are following his ancestry, an in order to do that, he has to be in the game and in the animus. So Desmond will be in the game, his part is the question.

Indians are awesome and so is this game. i cant wait !

and this wont be the final.

There will be a modern one as the final, where you see the Sun getting active. This is just going to the beginning of America.

American Indians however are so different, not to say theyre bad. But they used to wear warpaint and scream as loudly as possible to intimidate their enemies...they were very spiritual and had a huge fixation around honor through warrior experience and such. They were fierce warriors. Depicting one as an Assasin, okay sure, making a game where he is the main character?

Ugh just a bad fit to me. Not to try and put them down as a culture though. A lot of cultures just aren't right for the role imo and this is one of them.
What, never read anything about indians in history class? Ever seen brotherhood of the wolf? One with nature and all that? They invented surprise attacks! I'd be way more terrified of a Native American assassin than some italian street urchin.

Rather you like the idea or not. It's official.

The new ancestor of Desmond will be Native American during the revolution. For the most part everyone agrees that it's a good idea.

Interesting choice for the character. I'm part native american myself so this will be pretty cool to see. It seems Desmond's ancestry is everywhere. But I guess this is somewhat logical from an immigration standpoint.

I'm not really crazy over the time period itself, but I'll be itching to see how they implement it all on a more modern scale. I assume it'll be harder since everyone will be able to attack with firearms. Rapiers and broadswords were also common in the American Revolution, so there will still be blade fights to have.

I do hope this is the final AC game, though. Ubi should give it a good conclusive ending and look forward to working on their next gen titles.

well it cant be the last because of the story line. There will be probably be a final game without the animus and its just desmond finishing where he started; in the modern age.

There were plenty of structured towns in that time period. Boston comes to mind.

They could incorporate that into this game. In AC2 you got to fight with Desmond off the Animus. Most of the game could be the Native guy and the last hour or two you play as Desmond.

Ok, my question is this: is the main character actually a Native American or is he kind of like a Hawkeye type person from Last Of The Mohicans? A white guy that might have been raised by natives and wears and uses their stuff.

Good question. What I don't get is that the cover showed him killing a Redcoat, but IIRC, weren't the indians allied with the British during the war? I think over 10,000 Natives fought for the British. He could be a traitor I guess lol. But I hope Ubi has a better explanation than that.

At the outbreak of the Revolutionary crisis in the 1760s, Native Americans faced a familiar task of navigating among competing European imperial powers on the continent of North America. At the close of the era in the 1780s, Native Americans faced a "New World" with the creation of the new United States of America. During the years of conflict, Native American groups, like many others residents of North America, had to choose the loyalist or patriot cause—or somehow maintain a neutral stance. But the Native Americans had distinctive issues all their own in trying to hold on to their homelands as well as maintain access to trade and supplies as war engulfed their lands too. Some allied with the British, while others fought alongside the American colonists.
Native American groups had to choose the loyalist or patriot cause—or somehow maintain a neutral stance during the Revolutionary War. Students will analyze maps, treaties, congressional records, first-hand accounts, and correspondence to determine the different roles assumed by Native Americans in the American Revolution and understand why the various groups formed the alliances they did.
