And just saw the PS3 Demo will be out tomorrow night.
Well it's not as much about the game play and graphics for me in the past. Granted I do hate all the same issues everyone else hates and there does need to be improvement. Which it sounds like Madden will have this year and NCAA next year.

But the reason I like NCAA so much more is because there is way more involved.

    Rankings
Bowls (Don't get me wrong I'm in favor of a college playoff but I love not always playing in the same place each year)
    Recruiting
    Heisman
    Custom Schedules

And I think the online dynasties in NCAA blow away Madden. It's much more difficult to recruit against your opponents and you aren't always guaranteed to get the player you want. Where as on Madden there are no limitations to Free agency other than what the franchise may agree on. And even then the only limitations are how many free agents you can add in a week or a season. But other than that it's first come first serve.

Madden at least used to have Salary cap limitations but now you can just go sign whoever you want whenever you want.

I love the Broncos more than any other team in sports but to me there is just never enough change in Madden.

Lately NCAA has gotten a bit lazy but there is still a lot more brought to the table IMO than Madden.

      Well that is terrible news...

Hopefully madden does like NBA2k and makes it so you can create and edit draft classes. Playing with Maddens made up draft classes is terrible.

Not to mention NCAA everyone has to stay together each week. Instead of Madden where if 1 guy joins the franchise first and plays the game against your team before you join you are just SOL.

O don't get me wrong I love both games, just looks like NCAA is going to be taking a back seat this year as Madden I leaping way ahead. NCAA does have that atmosphire, but then they restrict you to 12 teams Online while Madden has 32. So you lose 1 game in NCAA the computer goes to the Championship game which is annoying. NCAA really needs to step up their game because they are so close, but they are so close to dropping so far behind at the same time.

But the Demo should answer some questions, because last year wasnt a bad game it was just buggy and that ruined it like no other. This year they fixed some things so I will have to see it in action to make my discion but it seemed like they added gimmicks like heisman mode which has bullet time effects which is just sad.

          Adopted Broncos:
          (2011-2013) Eric Decker
          (2014-2018) Bradley Roby
          (2019-Current) Drew Lock

I don't really mind the restriction anymore. It's nearly impossible to get 12 users committed to a dynasty for an entire season much less 32 for an entire franchise. I've tried 32 man franchises and they never get past week 2 because it's too difficult getting that many user games scheduled and they move to slow.

As for the 1 loss and computer goes to title that does kind of suck but it's also possible in Madden if you don't have a full league. All it takes is people to have their 1 loss be to the computer in the playoffs. I know that sounds hilarious but I've seen it happen. It is less likely in Madden than NCAA though I'll give you that.

Custom schedules can fix a lot on NCAA though. Load up everyone's schedule as A+ and make sure you include the Boisies' and TCU's and it's hard for any computer teams to run the table.

I know what you mean lol. But I will say one thing that has peaked my interest in Madden is the Connected Careers, and it looks like you could have an online franchise as everyone playing as their own superstar. I think that could be pretty neat, just wish NCAA could add some things that Madden has.

I would love to see the Tendancies and hot cold streaks in NCAA. But I am still on the fense for NCAA, so I will see, but yeah getting a full group is hard.

I think EA is afraid of NCAA surpassing Madden if they allowed them to get the equivalent stuff of MAdden or even new things that Madden doesn't have. A buddy told me NCAA is always last years Madden which I don't think is true but I think that is why they aren't getting the new engine till next year.

No the thing is EA wont release them at the same time, due to lots of loss profits. The reason NCAA doesn't have the new engine is because how late it was put into Madden. Madden wasn't sure if it was going to beable to get it in, and it comes out well after NCAA. That is the big key is that small time difference between the games. I have heard though that this new group is trying to work together though, since they both have the same control scheme and kicking meter again, so that is good.

So, the first mode you can play is basically "be a star" mode with RG3. It's the same BS as ncaa 12. It's NCAA 12 with motion blur. Rocketpack LBs, defenders blindly swatting balls, DE's shutting down slot receivers in coverage. Linemen routinely blow assignments.

                    It's the same game.

I played a second, non "be a superstar" game, and it's a little better.

I like being able to lead the WR, front shoulder, back shoulder, etc. The running is probably the smoothest ive ever seen in a football game.

It just really cracks me up that the computer will follow you through your audibles and then shut down a WR with a DE.

Oh well. Work in progress right?

That's how I felt about it. I played all three demo options. The defense was vastly improved as I shut out K. St, Oregon and Bama. Players seemed to have better awareness and recognize plays. And the computer didn't go into move the ball at will in the 4th mode.

Offensively the running game seemed fantastic. The jukes were unreal and the play development was good. Passing wasn't much different than usual. At times QB was accurate and USC receivers were fast as hell. No super LB's in this mode. However as the game goes on even with a big lead the d starts to know every play and receivers are never open.

The Heisman mode was pure garbage. Just RTG except with a former heisman instead of yourself. LB's were super man in this mode, and the play calls were atrocious as usual.

The normal mode was decent enough for me to keep my preorder but they better get his new engine by next year or I'm done with NCAA.

Downloaded demo. Not much change besides some cosmetic ones.

                              NOT WORTH 60 BUCKS!
