How's the passing? I couldn't care less about the presentation until the gameplay gets fixed.

I thought the passing was great played four normal games and 1 heisman mode game. Needlessly to say though I pray this was on freshman, as I was passing for over 80% and destroying the computer. Being able to lead the computer made it extrememly easy to throw players that are already sorta open to be way open.

Corner routes were great because you could throw it down to the outside and have them flatten their route so the safety can't get there to pick it. But each of my first three games were blow outs.

      LSU 30- Bama 0
Org 49 - USC 10 (that was at the end of the third then I quit)
      K-State 36 - Baylor 12 (started messing around)
Usc- 21 - Baylor 7 (ran 10 Screens in a row they didn't catch on till the 7th one)

      Heisman
Lsu (griffin I put here) 24 - Bama 34. I went 24-34 for 306 yards a pair of TD's and rushed for 9 yards, but threw 2 picks, having to try to make a comeback.

So the game played smooth, as I had no trouble using the new trajectories throwing over the LB's in the middle of the field and the game played very smooth. Just I hate playing games on easy mode lol.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't on Easy mode. I won all my games by shutouts but the most I scored was 24. I passed for 70-80% but wasn't nearly as many deep passes and I threw a couple of picks inside the 10. I may not be as good as you but I'm still good enough that if it was on Freshman or Varsity I would've put up 40-50 points easy.

Only mode that I struggled immensely in passing wise was Heisman mode though. Had super LB's and the receivers were never open.

The running was pretty cake though.

And how did you play USC-Baylor? Mine didn't give me that option. It only allowed week 10 opponents.

Oh and the K St. defense seemed to predict my plays a lot more as the game went on. Even with a balanced attack.

Yeah that was a typo not Baylor. It should have been oregon. But from the sounds of it after reading around I think they have varified it was varsity. But don't forget this was also only 3 minute quarters and when I put up 49 I had a couple of picks a force fumble and a returned punt.

But yeah I had some trouble passing in Hiesman, but mainly because I was trying to force passes, but playing against Bama may have been the reason.

I know I am on the ropes and with me already having it preordered on Amazon for $45 I can't make the decision yet. I will probably play a few more games, but I think I will try out the run and look more towards the core gameplay because varsity doesn't push me enough.

But I do have to say the game does play very smooth and i love the side line catches, as I have seen some nice ones as I have thrown a lot of out routes and corners and seen a few of them. But seeing the updates are a little disappointing right now because almost every QB is throwing for under 50%.

Yeah I guess 24-0 in what would barely be the start of the third quarter in a normal game isn't bad. But I still didn't get the sense that I was moving the ball at will the way I think I would on Varsity. So maybe this game is just starting to get too hard for me or something.

So on All-American that's like a 14-10 game and I might even have lost on Heisman.

Could be that or just not use to the game right now. I have been playing Madden recently so I am sorta in the groove per say. I mean I wasn't dominating every game that last one I played where I was USC, I couldn't really move the ball. Granted I ran the screen 10 times in a row, but I think that was when I was moving it the best. But I was unable to hit anything deep, and I think I finished with like 50% that game passing, but it seems like the computer can't get anything going though

I just need my football fix lol, and I will probably end up getting this just because I know Madden will probably be great, but I'm guessing with all the new stuff some bugs might pop up. This looks like it is a more polished 12 without the bugs lol.

I know exactly what you mean. Which is why I get this every year. It's the one that comes out first. And as I've said before even though I'm more into the Broncos than any other sports team Madden just doesn't do it for me.

EA really does need to find a happy medium with the computer AI passing though. They used to be terrible at passing. Last year most QB's were unreal and completing 80%+ and throwing 300+ yards a game on me at will. Now this year not only are the QB's a little inaccurate but the receivers drop a lot of balls. That saved me several times yesterday. They need to figure out a way to average out to around 55-65% for the computer.

Also now that I think of it one bug that I hated last year that is still around is the other team running 4-5 receivers deep, 2 receivers come back to the qb and no corners come with him. Resulting in multiple wide open receivers 25-30 yards down field.

Yeah never like the robo QB's that couldn't be stopped lol. Always looking for a decent set of sliders to use to get a good game. And for the WR thing that is why I love playing as the safety as I can follow them back up and take away one of the open guys.

But I will probably end up with both as I need my football fix, and with Maddens new CC I think i may even do a player franchise on the side just because it sounds like fun lol. Get a few users to create superstars and put them all in the same league on different teams and see who can become hall of fame players. So both games seem to offer a fair share of things I think I will enjoy. Now if NCAA can incorporate Madden's audible button presses, because I don't know how many times I screwed that up, and not having an audible to change the Dline to a pass rush attack where they run the arc is depressing. They just have the pass or run directions

I'm ready for the 720 or PS4 because I feel like when those come out the game play and style of football should be changed drastically from what we have available now. I'm also kind of hoping maybe with the new gens Microsoft and Sony will be open to allowing multiple studios to make games now instead of just EA.

I believe Madden's exclusive rights end at the end of the year or maybe next year. Which could also be why there was such a huge improvement in Madden this year. But I think any company could make a college game right now, but the problem is I don't think anyone wants to make it without being able to make the NFL version also.

But I pretty sure the reason Madden started this engine from the ground is so they could move it over to the new system with very little drop off unlike with the 360 where there was a shell of a game left lol. But reading on these games makes it so I really want the game now so I can start playing. And I hope NCAA gets the feature to automatically advance the week at set times so if the commish can't get on at that time it will still advance.

That would actually also be nice because it pushes users to get their games in. I've had several a week where I'm ready and able to advance the week. But I don't because two users who are both on all the time can't agree on a time to play their game. So if there was an automatic advance people will take the advance time more seriously.

Yup. Now I just need to find a pair of decent leagues that don't advance to fast so I can deal with my busy schedule and I will be set for a while lol.

I would do one again this year except I'm cutting my live account off this year. Won't have time as much in the fall when my kid is born and PS3 is free online. So it won't cost me an account renewal to play casually on that system. I'm doing a league on there though. Probably advance maybe twice a week.

Eh, this demo is pretty blah. Played one game, ended the game at 0-0. Why? Apparently in the demo corners are mages that can teleport. Corner was covering the WR, QB throws the ball the corner skips across the field away from the WR he was covering. Lost interest.

Pretty sure that had to be a fluke glitch. I've played 4 games and haven't had that happen once.
