Never even knew they were coming out with a 2nd one. But yea, I loved the 1st one, and this one looks just as good. Can't wait to see it.

Yeah, I didn't know either. It's supposed to be coming out in October of this year, so we don't have to wait too long.

Loved the first one but this one seems a bit too much. This big time trafficking outfit is going to get upset over losing a few men and spend time and money seeking out revenge instead of just moving on with business?

I think I'll wait for DVD.

Ya I loved the first one, Neeson a man on a mission with disregard for life. However, this one he brings his daughter on the mission. This seems like a recipe for disaster.

            From the IMDB info:

In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.

The first Taken was really good. I've known about the sequel since Neeson confirmed it on a show about 2 years back. Looks good enough, I'll try to see it or get it on DVD.

I heard that the guy going after Neeson was the father of one of the guys killed. But ya if there is no relation incredibly stupid

Yeah that's what Mark B said. But I still think it's a bit much seeing as how when they took the girl they didn't know her name and when he came and rescued her no one knew who he was. So how do they know who to come after and where to find him?

Also if he is the father of the kidnapper I assume that means he is part of the trafficking business or how does he even know what happened? And if he is part of it then I still don't see him taking the time out from his million dollar business to go seek revenge.

In the trailer they have a picture of Mills(Neeson), it looks like the same picture Jean-Claude(Olivier Rabourdin) had of him in the first one. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an appearance in this one after Mills(Neeson) shot his wife in the first one.

Idk though, guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's explained in the movie.

Well I don't want to sound too judgemental. I will probably eventually see it. Just seems a bit of a stretch for me to pay $9 in theater.

I think your looking at it too deeply here. These guys aren't short of sources. You can tell that by watching the first movie.

I think what the trailer was trying to get you to understand was that they were some sort of 'brotherhood' if you will. If someone kills their members, especially the son of the top dog, you can bet they'll be out for revenge.

I got that from the speech at the funeral. What I'm getting at is that I don't care for that twist that much. But as stated I will see it eventually.

I think a better plot for a sequel though would be Liam Neeson leading some sort of group to take down that trafficking group after what happened to his daughter. Although probably no one would ever spend the resources to back him up to stop something so big and difficult to track.
