Madden 13 Player only Franchise (Xbox 360)

This thread is different then the other Franchise thread going, as this is going to be each person playing as a single player, like superstar but as an online franchise. I'm thinking I will restrict it to either rookies or maybe 2nd year players also depending on how it goes. We will do like a draft on here, so it doens't matter what order you sign up in, so there is a chance you could go with RG3 or Luck.

This will also be probably just once a week or I will advance it if everyone is done, but I figured this could be like a side franchise people could play in to pass the time while waiting for the other franchise they may be in to finish.

I would also like to try to keep the number of people in this one to no more than 16 if possible so trades could still go down and so forth. Since there can only be one person per team which is another reason we are doing a draft, because if some one wants weeden than that would eliminate Richardson.

So if you would want in on this just let me know I will probably do the order the Sunday Aug 26th. So that could give people some time to pick their guys, and think about it till the game comes out. So just leave your name and GT here and we could get this going right away.

The draft portion is I will take everyone that is a part of this and randomly assign them a draft spot and as you go down each person picks the player they want to be. I figured this would allow people to sign up and just because they weren't on when I made this get shafted out of getting a rookie they may want. I figured it would be the fairest method.

I am also thinking about making it a no QB league also since the QB position tends to be able to control a game I thought it might fun to eliminate them from the choices so that it would create a nice change as you wouldn't be able to dictate the outcome so easily.

But all that is up in the air as is the length and difficulty, but I am just brain storming right now. So any ideas could be used to make this better I would be up to listening to. Just thought it being a nice side league and not really moving to fast should work good.

I'd down be done for this too. Sounds interesting/fun. Never really played with a non-qb but that would make it more fair like you said.

I'm in! Can we use created players? Not having the game in hand or knowing exactly how that works but from the videos I watched it looks like you do not get to set your attributes but rather pick between "high draft pick", "low draft pick", and "undrafted". That would keep people from making 99 rating players.

Also you could use the gameface thing for your player (Yes I'm excited about that)

Ok so I'm thinking rookies only and I will move the draft to the following weekend after the game comes out so we can check to see if making a rookie works well, or if we should just stick to rookies in the league now. Plus probably do non QB positions to make it a little different.

Probably do all pro 6 or 7 minute quarters.

No you pick a player, and that is the player you are. Like superstar, so you would only be one player on one side of the ball. I think the interesting ones will be a LB vs RB or CB vs WR type match ups. Still debating on how I want to go about picking. Because D could be fun but hard to get points while offense could be easy, so I will have to see lol.

Looks like we are at 8. I figured we would stick with rookies but I am going to randomally assign an order for a Draft. So that everyone has a fair shot at who they want, and not restricted to happening to be on at the same time the thread was made. Because picking a player also eliminates that team since only one person can be on a team, which I hope they increase for next year.

So I would probably put together the draft order the Friday after the game comes out, so that the following weekend can be use to draft and then start on that monday, and i would probably advance every Tuesday night or so. Like I said this isn't going to be superfast just more of a side franchise to help keep people entertained, and if people get done early I will advance it and post the next advance date so people know.
