Seriously, they used to be all different civilizations and cultures. Now they have gone the way of ESPN and just turned into trash.

I have a feeling that it did it just for the ratings. They knew that they were going down the tubes so they figured they might as well go 100% of the way lol.

What's wrong with the alien shows? The issue with history channel is the same issue with Discovery...Reality shows.
Reality shows are the death of human civilization. Pawn Stars is nice and all, but the other reality shows is just ridiculous.

Counting cars, American Pickers, Cajun Pawn, Ice Road Truckers, American Restoration, Great Lake Warriors, Top Gear, Picked Off,etc. All of that needs to go, bring back History related stuff.

Bring new episodes of Modern Marvels, UFO Hunters, UFO Files, History Documentaries,etc.

Eh, I don't like any of those from Discovery except Mythbusters. I don't count the Universe or Hatfield and McCoy, those aren't what's bringing in rating nor are they shown 24/7 like the reality shows.

Both Discovery and History have other networks, so they figure they'll show all their reality crap on the main network then throw the good stuff, the history, the science, the math, the physics, etc. onto History 2 and Science Channel.

Those are the only channels worth watching out of the Natgeos, History, Discovery, etc type channels.

I don't like Monsterquest or Mysteryquest. They both just seem pointless and every episode ends the same "We may never know..."

History Channel used to be good. My favorite show was Cities of the Underworld.

Of course, that show is no longer on television. But, it was an awesome show in which the host ventured into the "off limits" areas of the ruins, etc.. of wherever he was at. That was an awesome show. Aside from that show, I loved most of the shows that were on the History International Channel. Now, sadly, that channel no longer exists and is now "History 2" and is nearly the exact same thing as the regular history channel.

It's not all that bad.

My favs are Pawn Stars and American Restoration. Unlike the other Pawn shows they actually have a history element to their premise. Both Ricks are pretty knowledgeable dudes and they incorporate the experts pretty well.

Top Gear is pretty fun too.

I like half of those shows lol. They came up with shows like this because history is boring lol
