  • Blinky the Clown passes away.

Blinky The Clown,, who won Colorado children's hearts and celebrated their birthdays for nearly 40 years, died Aug. 27 with his creator, Russell Scott, who passed away at age 91.

I have fond memories of watching Blinky every morning before school. His birthday song has been stuck in my head for the past 30+ years. A true Colorado icon, Blinky will be missed, but never forgotten.

Does anyone else remember watching Blinky's Fun Club?

Not only do I remember Blinky's Fun Club, I was ON Blinky's Fun Club! When I was three years old, in 1966. It's one of my earliest memories.

    RIP Russell Scott

Not being from Colorado, I had no knowledge of this person until now, but I do have memories of other kids shows from the areas I grew up in.

          RIP Blinky the Clown.

              Wow good for you!!

Not to derail thread but did you watch Bozo?
My Grandmother entered my name in a contest he always ran, which included CALLING the name drawn on the PHONE. I'll never forget the day he drew my name and called MEEEEEEE(I was at my Grandparents house in Greeley)
The Grandparents were both out in the garden when he called so didn;t get to hear me talk to Bozo on T.V.!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I felt better once the box of toys came.
