Gotcha. I play on All Pro, with high sliders typically.

I really haven't played my QB much, I am behind Manning anyways...but I have played a full season as a HC, and went 15-1 with a Superbowl. I am pretty sure my legacy shot up pretty quickly. Maybe it's easier as a coach? But not sure.

Hmm.. might be time to experiment then. Maybe I'll see if it'll let me bump the settings for the next season and climb that legacy ladder faster.

From what I can find it appears difficulty does affect it.

There's a site that does a trophy guide and it says to "set to All-Madden" and adjust all sliders in your favor and you should achieve goal in 8 seasons...".

Haven't had a chance to change the difficulty. I'll report back when I do.
