Don't know if there are any fans of this show around here, but the third season just wrapped up and it was probably the best so far. The thing that's great about this show is that it takes place right at a time where the key players in organized crime were getting rich. Before Prohibition they were all just racketeering gangs at war with each other. Essentially, this is where Cosa Nostra as we've come to know it, was being born. They've been following Charles Luciano and Meyer Lansky around for the first few seasons, and with the arrival of Joe Masseria, Luciano is about to become a major player. So basically, this show can only get better.

I imagine they'll consider bringing in a few more big names such as Bugsy Seigel and Frank Costello. They'll probably focus on Al Capone a little more, maybe bringing Frankie Yale into the fold. Because the show evolves around Enoch Johnson, they've been pretty selective about who they've introduced so far.

Just started season 1 on Netflix. We're through episode 8 and like it so far.

There is probably a lot I don't know about yet but I find it intriguing in season 1 how much Al Capone is a nobody and almost seems like a pathetic coward. Jimmy is more of the BA and seems more like an alpha male than Al.

Also a bit confused. I don't know a ton about Capone but I thought he was a big people person? The show makes him out to be a real jerk. Mean to his son all the time when really the problem was his kid was deaf.

Anyways love this show. It has a few people from the Sopranos cast.

Give it time, the show progresses like a very long movie, but everything makes sense. I can't believe there wasn't a thread about this show before!

I don't want to spoil anything for you, so all I'll say is that this is the best show on television right now. That third season just blew every other show I have watched out of the water.

Makes the walking dead, homeland and others look real weak in comparison.

I haven't watched it. But I know you are lying.

It can't beat breaking bad or walking dead. :nono:

I'll give it a shot at some point maybe.

I think it can beat Walking Dead. I love that show but season 2 was horrible. Season 3 is better but still has it's flaws.

I'd have a hard time believing it's better than Breaking Bad though.

Also Dexter, Sons of Anarchy and Homeland are great shows. Although I haven't seen the current season of any of those. I have them all on DVR.

Me and my wife will stick with it. I like Mobster shows. Especially old time mobsters.

As I already stated though I know I'm missing a ton but I have a hard time believing it beats some of the shows I mentioned.

My buddy said it was easily his favorite show though.

Believe it. Although I will admit they're totally different types of shows, but it's incredibly well written, a great genre (who doesn't love gangster/mobster TV/movies), and as someone who loves breaking bad, walking dead and homeland...this show tops them all in my opinion.

Friends of mine who watch the same shows all agree...although some say game of thrones is better. That and dexter are two shows I'd like to start watching if I ever get the time.

It's up there with Game of Thrones for me. It's definitely a really, really, good series. Haven't watched the season finale of 3 yet, will tonight.

I love the show (though I haven't been able to watch any episodes so far this season). I really identify a lot with Richard Harrow's character.

He is one of the few characters on a show that I can identify with.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Quite possibly the best series going with no slow points in it, unlike Walking Dead's fairst half of season 2.
