Far Cry 3

Awesome game. Finally picked it up the other day. First time I've been immersed in a game in quite a while. In general if you like videogames/open worlds you should pick this up. Fixed everything I hated in Far Cry 2 and added a ton of great stuff. Kinda wish the game was a little harder, even on the hardest difficulty it's a little easy. Also I would have liked to be able to turn off a lot of the HUD, it's a little unnecessary but I've heard they're gonna come out with a patch for that.

Anyways, if you haven't picked it up yet, you probably should.

Yeah I agree it's a bit easy, but it is a ton of fun ...

I did a manual save after I had crafted everything I need...so that when I finish, I can always go back n play that game n raid camps n what not...loved how in the beginning you basically had to watch your back everywhere, just an awesome feel to it...

And the AI are really smart, but on hard (that's another thing, there should be more than just easy, medium, hard...there should be more difficult settings), cuz hard is still pretty easy

But awesome game nonetheless

And I love live but haven't even tried it on this game yet, is it good?

Friends keep asking me to check this out. Watched a few reviews, it looks good but I don't think I'll pick it up.
The main character just doesn't interest me. And if a game doesn't have a interesting main character or a completely customize character...I wont touch.

Dude let me just say...There's NO WAY you will not love this game...biggest free world play map I've ever seen by far and countless cool things to do/see...GET this game

You can find one on Craigslist for 30-45$ easily

I never played the other Far Cries. I guess I just don't wanna jump into a series.
I'm one of those people who had to play it from the beginning.

None of the games have any connection with each other. Even the mechanics from this one and 2 aren't really that similar.

The main character Jason is awesome. There's actually a lot of character evolution in the game.

Its actually interesting and pretty believable. Usually the protagonist is some ex special forces, knows how to do everything kind of guy, but in this game you're some normal schlub. He gets audibly disgusted by things, has to learn how to battle, etc.

Wheeled and dealed, got two stores to price match and sold 1 of 2 games I bought on craigslist within an hour.

I got farcry 3 for 30 bucks.

Good so far.

You guýs must be talking about the PC version?

Cuz the 360 version is off the chain and the AI are super realistic

Between the draconian DRM and the fact that I LOVED the original playing it on a friends' console for about 20 minutes when it came out was more than enough to be okay with passing on it. The funny thing is, I own it on Steam and had the desire to give it another go when you mentioned this...Unfortunately they have not removed the SecuROM DRM from it yet so I gave up right then and there.

On another note, has anyone tried the co-op campaign? What are your thoughts on it?

So why can't you play? Need the DVD? Just use a no-cd from gamecopy world or something.

I've heard compared to the rest of the game the co-op is kind of weak.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I didn't realize sharks came so close to shore, so I took them out with my trusty bow. I'm starting to really get a full grip on the bow, I'm turning into Daryl from the Walking Dead!

The map editor is pretty dope, I just wish you could have AI, vehicles, and weapons throughout the map. I spent like 6+ hours making this map, only to have to take out all of those things. What's the point in giving us that option if you can't even use it online?

It's pretty cool I only messed with it some, now that I know that about it I may not play with it again lol. I also use the bow almost exclusively, though I try to get as many takedowns as possible.

I think I'm almost to the end but I dunno, still seems like there could be a lot of game left. Takes some interesting twists. Also, there's some really surprising and uhm... adult... scenes in this game I certainly love me some Citra
