  • If you are a father, does this commercial make you tear up?

Cause the little girls expression on her face when she was trying to be brave gets to me.

I'm not a father, and it does get to me. However, the Subaru commercial with the chocolate lab made me for real cry the first time I saw it.

    Damn you Subaru.

Yeah, that'll pull at the heart strings. My daughter is next door playing with her friend. But in about an hour I get to go get here and have daddy/daughter date night. I am looking forward to it.

It gets to me because I am that overprotective Dad going past the school the first week to see if everything is alright.

Although if you want to get the waterworks going, my daughter dancing to this song at her ballet recital did it to me this last weekend.

Been there, done that ... protective thing. My two daughters are in their thirties now, and I still look out for them; one has some serious health problems at the moment. Went to the library with my granddaughter's class today. Being a grandparent is like having a second chance.

I am a father and I find it to be a commercial about a stalking hippie.

Nothing makes me tear up but I do empathize with the commercial because I am a father of a beautiful 6 month old boy.

I'm super protective already. My wife already wants to do swimming lessons and I'm like hell no. What's the rush?

I don't want to do school bus riding to school when he gets to that age. I want to take him to school everyday. I suppose its probably good for social skills though.

No, but maybe it's because I'm not a dad.

When my daughters started school, I celebrated.

I am protective, just in other ways.

My mum cried when she dropped me off for my first day of high school! I think deep down she was glad she didn't have to walk me to school every morning anymore though
