  • von miller on madden cover

Im a big fan of miller but please guys do not vote for him to be on the cover not matter how many times he asks us or tweets it lol I was thinking maybe calvon Johnson broke the madden curse cause of the great season he had then I looked that his team was terrible so someway some how the curse hit the lions.... dont vote haha

The only reason the Madden Curse is real is because pretty much every player sustains one kind of injury or another throughout the year. Being on the cover of a video game has no bearing on a player's health.

And because they have "hype" players rather than the best players on the cover, like Vince Young and Peyton Hillis.

I voted for Von because I'm sick of all the losers on the cover. I want some Bronco love. Wish they would do regional covers some would always be able to pick the team cover folks wanted. I hated looking at that loser Hillis on the cover, that was just plain stupid.

Seeing as how the curse isn't real, and Von Miller is a solid player, he won't be affected because he ends up on the cover of a video game.

          Do people actually buy this?

Ray Lewis has been on it before. So have Troy Polamalu and Larry Fitzgerald. Oh yeah, Brett Favre and Calvin Johnson, Marshall Faulk...

In other words, great players who were unaffected by the made up internet curse.

Think of the previous cover players (other than Calvin)

2011: Hillis (had ONE good season)
2010: Drew Brees (Not his best season, but still had 33 TD passes. He didn't get injured)
2009: Larry Fitzgerald had 97 catches with more than 13 TD's. Polamalu did get hurt, I'll give you that, but he has been injury prone the last few seasons.
2008: Favre played fine until the end of the year. Besides, the Jets didn't have any good receivers at that time. He also didn't miss any time until his injury.
2007: Vince Young was just an overhyped player. He was never good.

My point is that there has only been one good player on the cover that got hurt. The others (Hillis and Young) were just overhyped because of one good season.

If Miller makes it on the cover, he should be fine.

If Von Miller ends up on the cover and gets hurt, will the curse be real then?

The curse is certainly over-hyped but I would hate to see what this place will look like if Von gets the cover and then a season ending injury.

Of course, they just lost Dumervil so that might put Von behind the eight ball as it is.

Superstition is crap. It would be nice to see another Bronco get some recognition.

Believe in the curse, don't believe in the curse...

                  Why even risk it? LOL

If there's even a 0.0001% chance that it's real, I would rather Von stay far away from it. We have a short window to win a superbowl ring with Peyton right now, and if Von went on the cover and then got hurt I would be furious lol

Don't believe in superstition, hard work and skill wins games! The only reason the "curse" exist is they put older guys and guys on bottom feeder teams on the cover. I voted for a TD/Von cover, that would be awesome!!

Megatron broke the record for yards in a season. No Curse here.

Well Megatron and Larry Fitzgerald did not have a curse. And really neither did Drew Brees. But Peyton Manning has rejected the cover several times though from what I have heard!

The Lions being so bad is oddly enough the reason Calvin broke the record. He had an absolutely insane amount of garbage time yards.
