Yeah... will be on TV later this fall. Doubt it will effect his focus but I hope it doesn't. He can't afford any more drops.

Given the times we live in, a reality show starring Eric Decker and Jessie James was inevitable.

Decker is a standout wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. James is a rising country music star. They're both rich, famous and physically attractive to a depressing degree.

It was simply a matter of time, and now E! -- drunk off the vacant-brained success of "What Would Ryan Lochte Do?" -- has announced a late-summer television debut for "Love and Other Contact Sports: Eric and Jessie".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will "chronicle the sexy young couple's road to the altar as they juggle careers, relationships, family and more."

Decker received permission from Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway before giving his soul to basic cable.

"He came in and talked to me about it," Elway told reporters Monday, via MaxDenver.com. "I gave it my blessing."

Decker later took to Twitter to alleviate any concerns from Broncos fans that his performance could be compromised by aligning with the Kardashian axis of evil.

Really, a reality tv show? SMH...He and his fiancee really crave attention. I can understand her because she's in the entertainment business but he really should leave it alone.

Seriously, if it's what Decker and his girl want to do, then do it. I just hope it doesn't turn into a train wreck or a distraction. I also hope it doesn't hurt their relationship. Couples that do reality shows tend to fail.

I dunno...if it doesn't interfere who cares...I won't watch it aside from the clips on the soup making fun of it every now and then but if it does he needs to make sure it gets cancelled the second his production slips.

I don't get why on earth he would want to do this? I guess it's a ploy to help his soon to be bride get her career a shot in the arm? I guess the Broncos don't pay him enough? Meh, watch the torches and pitch forks come out when he drops the first pass in a game! Reality tv is garbage and who in the world thought this was a good idea?

Ugh. Not going to watch this and I wish our athletes would focus on their jobs and personal lives more instead of being on a reality show. At least he got Elway's permission before doing it, but it doesn't exactly make me happy that Elway is letting our players do this either.

I still hate reality tv but I might actually watch some of JaVale McGee's show, not going to watch Decker's.

Maybe Elway wants his players to be happy and do as they well as long as it's clean and doesn't get them in trouble.

I don't think it's a money thing for him, I think it's mostly his bride to be. Her singing career isn't well known, hell I only know her name because I follow Decker on twitter. The show would put her on the map, and frankly I don't mind them doing it this way. Especially when you think about the ways people attempt to put their names on the map nowadays.
A good number of semi-famous people think doing porn or making a sex tape or getting in trouble a lot will make their name bigger. So at least they are doing it a clean fun way, that I hope works out for them.
