Since Avengers had it owns thread I figured this group hero film deserves one as well.

So far I'm hearing good things, here are who has been signed on for the cast. What roles they'll have is unknown except for one female villain.

James Gunn is directing, Disney is looking for a August 2014 release.

For those that don't know this is suppose to be the bridge film between Avengers and Avengers 2. Either a villain from here will be the main villain in Avengers 2 or the ending of Guardians bleeds into Avengers 2.

The movie revolves around a U.S pilot who bands with a group of ex-cons from other planets after he’s thrust in the middle of a universal conflict.

I'm excited I have no idea how they are going to pull this one off but I have faith

From my understanding, Thanos will play a role in a few of the upcoming Marvel movies with him being the main villain in Avengers 2. My guess would be that he has somewhat of a role in Thor 2, because if you look carefully enough, you can see the Infinity Gauntlet in the Asgardian trophy room when the Destroyer is killing the Frost Giants.

IIRC thanos will be behind the scenes on Avengers 2 not exactly the main bad guy but will be present i thnk well get an epic showdown come Avengers 3

I just read somewhere that there was supposed to be a GoG scene after the end credits of iron man 3 but it was scrapped at the last minute, possibly because news of it had been leaked online. It was going to have iron man get a call for help, and then get into the deep space suit and take off to meet them.

I wonder who Chris Pratt is playing... he's one of my favorite people.

Movie will probably be more CG than transformers.

If it's true that RDJr doesn't want to do iron man anymore, who could replace him? no one imo.

yeah i heard about that too wish they went with that instead of what they actually did go with

i dont think anyone can replace RDJ but then again the other actors are unhappy with how much they are getting paid and we know how cheap disney/marvel is hopefully they dont recast the entire avengers

That would totally doom the series. When you know that the movie is going to be an automatic blockbuster, idk how you just don't pay them what they want.

I've seen all of those movies. Is Thanos a character that has only been in the comic books? I don't remember him from any of the movies.

Whedon came out and said that Avengers 2 doesn't happen without RDJ... so that'll probably help them all get paid.

Yeah it's just a money thing. It isn't that he's lost interest in playing Iron Man, he just thinks he deserves a bigger piece of pie. In which he does, as does his cast members.

If Disney and Marvel wanna succeed, you gotta work out a fair deal with your top actors.

RDJ will do Avengers 2 but that may be the swan song, it will cost too much to keep paying him.

As for the Guardians, I think Marvel has a big hurdle to over come. It is not as well known, and slapping Marvel on it won't do much to change it. I think it will be a harder sell.
